Is There Anyone In This Draft Worth Trading Up For Unless the Compensation Is Relatively Small? (2 Viewers)

Him and Bijan are the only ones, imo. There's very little possibility of Bijan falling out of the top 10, but if he does, you 100% try to trade up..

Bijan would be my pick. But only if he falls past about 23-24. Getting to the teens and early twenties would be too costly, IMO.

I don't know what it would cost to get to about 23-24, but I'd only do it if it would cost a 4th or less. Too much talent in the 2nd and 3rd to give them away. Unless it's a '24, since we'll have extra comp picks.

My choice would actually be to trade down. When was the last time we actually traded down in the 1st or 2nd round? I can't remember it, it seems to be so long ago. Lol

Well my thing is if we did trade up for bijan we could trade Kamara and recoup a pick back. I mean I love Kamara but pricey

If Van Ness falls into the late teens-20s, I wouldn’t be mad to see us move on him, just as long as it doesn’t cost us a future 1st RDer. I’d also put Kancey, JSN, & Bijan in that same regard. Those are a few dudes who I could get crazy hyped for.

Please don't have the Saints and Loomis trade any '24 picks to move up in the first round. I don't have a problem if someone drops to the early 20's to use a 3rd or 4th to get a guy we really want but again please don't mortgage our future for one guy!

We had a bad year last year at 7 wins and an incredible number of injuries and people are acting like we should save picks for next year.

This team is run to win every year. If they think we trade up something to add one win this year and a player they like it all makes sense and the people having strokes over a down year will kill themselves if we sit on picks for the future and only win 7 again.

Today is the future.

This is probably one of the worst drafts you want to trade up in.... given some teams QB situation is the only reason teams traded up so far and given the talent pool at QB thinking those teams will regret the decision.

U mean like Adam Trautman and Zac Baun who cost 3 picks each
Not quite correct.

The trade for Baun saw two Saints picks head to the Browns, in exchange for two picks back.

Worse however, the Saints packaged the second late pick acquired in the Baun trade, as part of four picks sent off for the rights to select Trautman...

I'd add Mayer to the list.
also between Van Ness, Murphy and White. I kind of like White more. He has more upside but the lowest floor as well. All 3 big DEs need hand technique work and pass rush moves added to their arsenal but White has the best bend.

Carter is the only player I would trade up for but only if he slipped out of the top 10. I am not saying we should as I feel we should stay put and keep the 5th year option.

but you ask if there were any worth trading up for so this is my answer.
This.

Can’t trade him. We just restructured his contract. Big ol cap hit if he’s traded or cut

Ok we’ll that makes more sense than saying his trial. Guys been a stand up guy and is only getting 6 gms

The third round has brought us around the same number of starters as the first over the past 10 years....
These are not disposable picks.
We have a pretty bad record in the 4th onwards since 2013 so I'm less worried about losing one of these but a third...
No.
Alvin kamara, Alex Anzelone, Trey Hendrickson.....all third rounders from one draft.
We need depth and utility players.....trading a third like it's no big deal is a mistake

I would move up for Tight end Mayer. Most teams that make deep runs in the playoffs have an exceptional tightend. How long has it been since Saints had a solid tightend?
