So getting to the age where that’s a legit question
Since Friday I’ve had some weird bug (slight nausea, body aches, little appetite- but no fever really)
So last night I got these chest pains (but really I think it was dehydration, actual chest muscle tightness), but I tell ya, nothing gives you a good night sleep like - “is this it? Am I going to have a heart attack in my sleep and my kids will find me dead?”

I'm going to be one of those people who dies of something totally preventable. Ya know why? Because every time I'm like k, something isn't right, I'm very sick, whatever...the doctors are like "it's viral, there's nothing we can do...just has to run its course" or "everything looks fine" or "are you depressed" or when I randomly started having horrible heart burn and indigestion waking me up at night and after all the ultrasounds, tests, elimination diets and the doctor putting me in the hospital for 3 days because I nearly bled out after he forked up a routine endoscopy and they still found nothing (no H.Pylori or celiac) all he says is "it must be IBS" ? F O H! I now go to my acupuncturist for any ailments I have except my annual well woman exam (and even my obgyn is totally useless) and the time last year I broke my foot and needed an orthopedic doc.

i don't think it was a heart attack
the thread was more about the mind racing with 'what if/could it be' than actual concern

but i will try the walk thing
and i have taken all other suggestions to heart as well
... to heart

The good thing is that they can do a blood test to see if you actually had a heart attack.

So, if it wasn't a heart attack, even after thousands of dollars of OOP costs they will not be able to tell you what caused your problem or what you may be able to do to eliminate the problem you're having either now or in the future.
But, if it was a heart attack, you're in luck. There will then be something they can try to fix. It's not likely that they'll be successful, but at least they will be hunting in the right forest for the monster.
