Jewish group at capitol calls for ceasefire.

Who did the U.S. Congress shoot at? Shouldn't they be protesting at 3514 International Drive N.W., Washington D.C.? (rhetorical question)

What's the point of posting this?

you already know.

Eerily similar to another poster style on another board- multiple tweets- no personal commentary/opinion.

im tryn to tell yall....

ohhh and i captured his political "quip" before he could edit out lolol.

Maybe I am taking crazy pills again, and please someone talk me down if I am.... But does anyone else fell like this War is becoming a mostly-partisan issue in the US simply because one party's "hard core's" supports Israel without boundaries.... so the other party's "hard core's" must support the opposite? I mean... it's certainly starting to sound that way... and it's super disturbing to me in this situation. How in the heck can we make this situation... a partisan issue in the US? Please tell me that's not what's happening....

It's happening...

I assume he is trying to show that there is misinformation from everywhere. There was a video yesterday that the IDF had posted to show it was a hamas rocket, that was an old video and they ended up deleting it.

I don't think there is any chance that the hospital was hit by an Israeli strike at this point, so no one should be trying to suggest that it was. I hope he wasn't still trying to make that argument.

check out my quote - just above the quoted tweets.

dont assume anything with this one. he has an agenda.

The Israeli media spokesperson used a 2022 video to show Hamas or an Islamic Jihad organization bombed the hospital but it’s an old video.
That makes sense. And they should be vetting their own sources too. It's been a nasty habit media outlets have picked up of using old stock footage to illustrate their stories. It's shameful.

The attachment didn’t load with slow WiFi so I posted again.

This is my first time engaging on the EE since the random picture thread in 2010. I didn’t include commentary to avoid biased arguments.
Just fysa, the TOS discourages posting links without any commentary unless it's to inform of current events, and even then, from reliable sources. Here's the rule.

Naked Links: We do not allow the posting of "naked links", which are defined as the posting of outside links without giving any indication of why a member posted said link/s, where it would take them, or otherwise not offering explanation behind doing so. The reasons behind this policy are because a link may lead to anywhere, including sites containing porn, spam, malware and viruses. We need to ensure that a member knows where the link it is taking him, or a synopsis of what the links content is at the very least. Also, because when debating they are often used in an inflammatory manner, without the person offering the link having supplied any reasoning for having posted the link/s.

The exception being if the link is requested and/or is in direct response to another posters request. Even then it should be appropriately labeled.

My screen grab/quote differs ;)

So this has been confirmed to be an old video by credible sources?

Social media has been vulnerable to disinformation but it’s a problem that has only grown worse on X-Twitter since Musk’s takeover. It’s very difficult to know what to believe from there, and Musk has left no doubt that is by design.

There’s a community notes fact checker on his tweet:

And what does the process of community fact-checking involve?

Also, that video doesn't look like the same one posted previously, purportedly of the misfire.

(Edit) This video. The city looks mostly blacked out to me, with lights mostly visible on the distant horizon:

Discussion question: What knowledge and understanding do those of you under my current age of 60 have to the Munich massacre of 1972?

I was only 9, avid watcher of the Olympics, I remember it very well albeit with NO frame of reference here as a WASP in the US to the Jewish plight save for having memorized the soundtrack to Fiddler on the Roof and seeing ads for the Time Life books on the Holocaust. Most definitely my first exposure to international terrorism.

Here we are 51 years later. 56 years after the 6 Day War, 52 years after the Yom Kippur War. This is LITERALLY the first time I have dived this deep into this really trying to understand.
