It's wild to me that, given all the WR injuries in the NFL, Michael Thomas still can't get a shot? (1 Viewer)

The NFL is a small fraternity, word gets around pretty quickly if you’re difficult to work w/.

For every MT ( a talented guy who’s attitude keeps him off a team) there’s a guy who’s been in the league for 8 years and only played 200 snaps but gets signed late in the season because he’s a pleasant employee

He twittered and social media'd himself out of a career. Just about as much as Antonio Brown. No one will touch him unless beyond desperate

He’s older and has had multiple leg injuries plus his social media presence doesn’t help lol

Dude doesn't have to work another day in his life.. He's worth 32 million and has investments all over the place. His ankle is probably done and he couldn't play at a high level anyway. Why take a vet minimum deal to possibly cripple himself?

Then why hasn't he retired?

He's not getting calls.

At this point, I'd consider signing MT and Antonio Brown. Maybe persuade Jeff George out of retirement. Trade for CJGJ, and re-sign Junior Gallette to rush the passer. All current positions of need for the Saints. Watch DA get eaten alive and QUIT before end of season.

Ohh, I'm sure he's not. But why close the door for another payday if someone does call? As he sits now, he can live comfortably for life. If by chance someone calls and offers decent money, he's available. Retiring closes that door.

None of his teammates has said that about him. Care to elaborate as to why you think that?
A) Teammates don't hire people. Owners, GM's and coaches do.
B) Said owners, GM's, and coaches likely see all of the negativity and drama that MT puts out there on social media, and don't want to bring that attitude and distractions into their teams.

Lot of money for a possession receiver in the latter stages of his career.
