Jack Rabbit {Janoris Jenkins} restructures his deal (1 Viewer)

Latt, Jenkins, CJGJ, and Jenkins. That should be solid back there. Need front to stay healthy and have Davenport start getting after QB's along with Cam. Has potential to be a great D.

Also, the other issue is when Latt or Jenkins goes down, who comes in for them? PRob is not the answer here, we need to keep him in the slot and slot only. So, yeah, we need draft one and high.

Sure, but every team has that issue.

And most don’t have the starting CBs quality that we have.

There’s a salary cap, how great do you expect teams 3rd outside CB to be anyway?

This is good news, but it’s a short-term solution. A young boundary CB is among the Saints top needs still...

Some younger FA options, that are still young enough to ascend and realize their potential include Ronald Darby from Philly, Javien Elliot from Carolina, and Mackenzie Alexander from the Vikings... Alexander reportedly agreed to terms with Arizona or Cincy, but he never signed the deal, and he’s still a FA.

The lesson here - if you keep borrowing from future seasons, the bill never comes due. I am somewhat surprised that this void year loophole did not get closed with the last CBA.

Why would players want to close it. They end up getting money that wasn't guaranteed in the form of money that is a bonus. Teams have a way to work around and improve themselves. It's really a win/win for both

Love Darby that dude has a dog eat dog mentality.

At this point looks like we've got our free agents acquired and we are creating room for draft picks and the season right?

Or do we have a ton of cap space now?

We still need a LB and possibly a backup QB depending on their plans for Hill. This should open up enough cap room to get that done.

Just remember no matter how good the secondary is, “It’s the pass rush, stupid” should be the mantra every offseason.

Jenkins really impressed once he made it to Saints. From my unprofessional eye, he was the best cornerback for the Saints last season. Lattimore of his rookie season and Jenkins could be best duo in NFL.
