It was put in the contract in exchange for the restructure that saves the Saints cap space. That $100 million option is there to make sure that the Saints don't decide not to cut him and stop him from becoming a free agent. Neither the Saints nor Winston believe that the money will ever be paid. It's just a poison pill to ensure that Winston becomes a free agent this year.
