N/S Jane Slater: Coach Prime met with resistance after asking for more money for NIL and his staff

One game. For the first time in a long time all of his kids had a 3.0 GPA or better. There's more to coaching than wins and losses. Two years ago they won 1 game. This year they won 9. End of story.
GPA? We’re talking about him transitioning to an NFL coach, now explain how GPA and coaching grown men correlate?

No, the concept of NIL, was to allow players to make money off of their likeness, through jersey sales, autograph signings etc. It was never intended for wealthy billionaire alumni, to buy these players straight out of high school.
Well it’s happened. NILwill destroy College football.

He brought in an entire new team and has the heisman winner and like I said, he had 2 top 5 picks on that team and one of them played both ways, and you think that was because of Deons coaching? LMAOoooooo

I never understand the “He had talent” argument when it comes to discrediting coaching, especially if we are talking about college coaches.

Isn’t that what coaching is? Getting talent and what your skills can do with said talent?

Most if not all of the college game boils down to who can acquire the best talent AND coach it into wins.

Should we discredit Nick Saban too for having college football all-star team rosters full of high NFL draft picks every single year?

When was CFB not considered the NFL minor leagues?
1950? 1940?
I think you know the concept of what I'm saying. The NFL has always picked the guys from college and some have always been paid under the table. But anyone in their right mind has to know this system is very flawed. I meant minor leagues in the concept of the kids making the money.

But it’s angling for this false concept that college sports was some true form of amateur sports when it’s not.
Once the NCAA started getting billions for the TV contracts/merchandising, any thoughts of this being an amateur sport went out the window.

Did you not say he wasn't a good coach? GPA shows his ability to lead a bigger roster to do better than any coach before him. You are correlating it to the NFL.

The NFL is something he knows all about. He knows how front offices work and all the BS behind the scenes. He can definitely lead grown men. Because he hasn't coached in the league doesn't mean he can't. He has shown great leadership ability and I have no reason to believe it wouldn't transition to the NFL.

Based on going 1-6 against ranked teams.

Trash coach.

Dude has 2 top 5 picks on his roster, one that was a stud on offense and defense and he still went 1-6? Terrible.
And where was the school before he got there? Where were they ranked? Did they have a Heisman winner? Yes, they lost to ranked teams, but that's not the criteria for a school that wasn't on anyone's radar three years ago. Do you think the people in Boulder have an issue with his performance in his second year?

You really gotta give Deion credit.
After the 90s Buffaloes run, the program has basically been a D II school.
And Deion brought some of that back.
