Jardiance: Why are these people so jazzed about having Type I diabetes? (2 Viewers)

The thread title and the title of the video is very misleading. Jardiance is not made for Type 1 diabetes (captions clearly says so). Some doctors may prescribe it off script, but more are treating with Ozempic and Mounjaro these days. I say that as someone working in the healthcare field and a 40-year Type 1 diabetic. Friend of mine went into severe DKA (diabetic ketoacidosis) because he talked his PCP into prescribing Jardiance after his endo said no.

That only makes it more annoying. They're happy they could get DKA.

It's misleading because those people in that commercial are not Type 1 diabetics. Your title is wrong because the video's title is wrong. Now if the conversation is about Type 2s being happy go lucky, by all means, go right ahead.

When I was first diagnosed as a kid, almost every six months I was hospitalized with it. It is no joke to deal with.

I'm sure youtube/google gets millions of dollars in ad revenue from the makers of Jardiance, so sadly it will fall on deaf ears. And it's actually not just the title of the video you can clearly hear them infer it is for Type 1 as the announcer says "it also helps with Type 2 diabetes", then goes off on a litany of side effects.

I've been on Jardiance for about a year and a half. It mostly just helps your sugar management by flushing some out of your system.
