Jazz Fest 2022 (4 Viewers)

Not a huge fan of that venue, but yeah, that should be a good show.
I was curious about the venue. This was kind of a last minute thing I think as far as scheduling during Jazz Fest. They are in Atlanta at a festival the day before. Bit of a hike to NO.

Wide open warehouse, basically.

I've seen them about a dozen times, and the 2016 Jazz Fest was one of the best. At that time they were not promoting a new album so just did a greatest hits lineup. I wonder how it will be now since they just dropped a new album. I am hoping it will be the same since they haven't actually started touring for this new album yet.

They were on Stern this week...post set, Howard commented on just how freakin fit Anthony was...at 59 years of age.

They will rock just like 2016 i bet.

Ceelo Green is doing a James Brown tribute " Soul Brotha #100". i bet that will be a show....

after 45 years of successfully dodging JF, i finally attended yesterday and all of my suspicions were confirmed
RHCP were good for over 50 years old?

Chairs on the track? hot AF. overpriced crawfish bread? water for $20?

i gotta go Sat to see Stevie Nicks - who coincidentally hasnt released a SONG IN 40 YEARS - but my oldest is a massive fan and Red Rocks in Denver wants $500 a TICKET ( may 11 show )

soooo $80 it is, ill find a spot close to exit and snatch her and her friend during last song...yall can listen while we walk out. lol

we left before the RHCP played...i have seen them before and i don't really listen to them so i didn't care

brought our own water....the food was good and i didn't think it was crazy overpriced...

we watched Cowboy Mouth(blech), Paul Sanchez, a little of Randy Newman and popped into other tents to check out smaller musicians...

i was being a bit facetious about the food- $7-8 for some crawfish pasta aint terribly bad. I dont drink beer, so save a ton there. Water was my only worry due to forecast, but knowing i can bring own is good to know.

I'm not one to spend that much, but, I dunno, that's my dream venue. And with Stevie Nicks? I dunno, somehow that sounds much better to me than the 80 at the dang Jazz Fest.

Water is $3 ($1 outside the gates).

I didn't go anywhere near RHCP. No crawfish bread for me, but the Cochon du lait was quite good.
