I’ve been saying all along. The guy isn’t who people think he is. He needs a lot more seasoning.

A lot of times people let people resign rather than get fired. The Saints did that with Grantham during this season.

The other thing that sometimes happens is that you let a candidate know you're going another direction so they can withdrawal themselves from consideration, instead of not getting hired.

Just last year Ben Johnson was pursued by several teams and he chose to stay in Detroit one more year.

New owner, head coach, GM, and franchise QB does that. Real Change requires a whole bunch of new people with new ideas.

Yes, but it doesn't change the fact that a very good young coordinator refused to do an in person interview with them and they still got a very good HC.

Brady is 35 years old. He can put up three or four more years of skins on the wall and still be the wunderkind.

Coming to New Orleans could have a huge upside for a guy like Brady. You turn it around here, you're a legend. But -- to be frank -- the chances that it wouldn't work out with the Saints are high enough that he just doesn't need to roll the dice right now. Imagine being 37 or 38 and washing out as an NFL head coach. Josh McDaniels did that and had to wait 12 more years for his next opportunity.
