I'm looking forward to the show specifically due to Krasinski's performance in 13hrs. That's probably how he got the role. Seeing him in the 13hrs trailer was jarring because of The Office and his comedy background but when I finally watched the show I was pleasantly he sold the role:

I think I'll just point out the obvious, but I think the beard in 13hrs really helps the viewer move on from seeing Krasinksi as Jim.

I enjoy this genre and really enjoyed the series. Was hesitant with JK as Ryan, but he pulled it off.

Movies were always good too. Hunt for Red October, Patriot Games, Sum of all Fears, Clear and Present Danger and Jack Ryan Shadow Recruit.

I usually don't care for this genre, but this cast was really compelling. I really enjoyed binge watching it. I thought John Krasinski was great in it.
