Jordan Schultz: Bears Job is a Two-Horse Race Between Mike McCarthy and Ben Johnson (3 Viewers)

McCarthy takes the Bears job and BJ becomes da Raidahs head coach…I think Brady gets his guy and Johnson gets a lot of guarantees to go to Vegas, IMHO.

If it fell that way I'm guessing we'd get Brady.
Brady has said that he’s not desperate to jump at the first HC offer - if he gets one - and that he’s content to stay in Buffalo if the right situation isn’t available.

So Brady isn’t a given, even if everything else falls as some have predicted.

This is where I’m starting to think that it’ll be Rizzi if McCarthy and Glenn go elsewhere.

I'd go with Kafka over Rizzi.

Kingsbury is kind of in the same boat. He can just stick with Jayden Daniels. But I'd prefer Kingsbury or Brady over Kafka or Rizzi.

If all the OC's and OHC's go to other teams, and the remaining OC's elect to stay in their current roles for less money, would that not be a huge indicator of how the league feels about our offensive talent (particularly our QB)?

I'm just not seeing a success story unfolding with Joe Brady being a first year head coach under these circumstances. I understand LSU honks getting all the feels over Brady being the Saints coach, but he just seems way too green to me at the NFL level. To be honest, he feels like a better fit initial fit as a college head coach than in the NFL.

It would say a lot, but I really don't see Brady, Kingsbury, Moore, and Kafka all turning down the job. I get that it's not perfect, but it is an NFL HC job and if you want a solid QB, Carr is a solid QB. He makes too much money next year, but he's still a top 15 QB if a coach wants to start at that point. There is always the Broncos route where you go with Carr this year, cut him next year, and then draft a QB. And we have the building blocks of an OL and WR corps. We don't have the young QB in the draft route at this point, but neither did Denver.

I also think that all these young OCs might look at Ben Johnson, but Ben Johnson is apparently about to take the Raiders job after refusing what turned out to besome solid to good jobs last year. And they could all turn into Bobby Slowik really quickly.
