Josh Rosen (1 Viewer)

I wouldn’t mind that at all. Think he has some potential, especially as a very capable back up.
And he's got all the physical tools to be a great QB. If we could land him to be the backup this year and then battle it out with Taysom next year (the last year of his rookie deal) that wouldn't be a bad situation to be in post-Brees.

Why are you certain they'd just cut a first round pick QB on a rookie contract just because they're going to likely draft one? They still need a backup to Fitzmagic and Tua (if they are the team to get him) may not get a full training camp in and be on PUP to start the season.

I’m not certain they’d cut him. I’m just certain I wouldn’t give up a draft pick for him. And I’m pretty sure Sean Payton wouldn’t either.

Nope. Two teams passed on him in 3 years, something isn't right.

I personally would love to see the Saints send a 6th or 7th round pick to Miami for Josh Rosen. I would love to see him learn under Payton and grow - this would give us Josh and Taysom going forward. I'm not terribly interested in Andy Dalton, Cam Newton, or Jameis Winston. I guess a mid round pick on a QB is very possible, but this just seems to make sense.

What do you guys think?
Just checking where the report is that Rosen isn't in Miami's future plans, to the point they're discarding him for almost nothing? He's on the roster, is relatively cheap and can compete for the starting job with whoever they might add in the draft.

no he is just placed in a bad situation with coaching change and Murray in AZ and Miami is a shirt show on offense.. if he was ever going to live up to his potential the Saints would be the place. he has all the skills and confidence
Nah... Dude has WOAT work ethic and attitude while putting up one of the worst rookie season in like 15 years.

He's a bust

Was he the QB that had draft concerns about his desire to play football?

I don’t remember hearing that, but I do remember hearing (pre-draft) that Rosen was not well liked by his teammates at UCLA. He reminds me of Jeff George, only he doesn’t have as strong of an arm, and he’s probably not quite at the epic level of D-bag George was.

Actually, now that I thought about it... the reason Ramczyk lasted until the end of round 1 was because there were questions about how much he wanted to play football.

If they do move him, it will happen during or after the draft, assuming they grab one of the top tier QB prospects. I´m on board with this move.

Well his eval on the Jets QB was off but he did warn about the top picks. The Bills an Ravens are looking brilliant
Josh Allen is pretty mediocre. I don't know. Ravens are the only team in that draft with a high performing QB. And he has his woes as well.

I think the Jets are ruining Darnold, but I only had his ceiling as a top 15 QB at best. When I say Top 15... I mean like 12-15th best QB.
