Just a HC option question about Coach Sanders… (9 Viewers)

I’ll bet we’re on his no play list too lol.
No clue the veracity of the claim, but I could see it being very true.

I want absolutely nothing to do with the Deion Sanders circus. Thankfully I know our organization well enough to know that this would never even be a consideration.

Deion can succeed in college because young players love the idea of playing for a living legend. Professionals aren’t gonna give a 💩 about that..
I think it is more the parents of the young players, who know who Sanders is, and see a direct connection to NFL agents/money.

Hiring a legend as a HC in the NFL... the last legend I remember hired as HC was Mike Singletary, the leader of the 1985 Bears defense, 1st ballot HoF LB. He even had 6-7 years of coaching experience in the NFL. And we know what a disaster that was: "cannot play with them, cannot win with them, cannot coach with them... can't do it".

In any case, it's a free country. If Jones wants to hire Sanders as HC, he's free to do so. If it works, more power to him. If it fails, I'll laugh with everyone else.

"I couldn't coach pro ball," Sanders said on his show, which streamed Tuesday. "That's why I say, I couldn't coach -- I know it was cute -- but I couldn't coach pro ball, because the way they practice, the way they go about it, I couldn't take it. As a man, and as a football enthusiast, and I care about the game. The game is still providing for Troy and I, so there is no way I could allow that to happen on my watch. That would be tough."
