Kamara tests positive for COVID (1 Viewer)

I said reduces, not eliminates.

Not sure where u get the "idea" that I said it's the end all be all.

Right. Just like masks,, Condoms aren't 100% effective and more people than you'd expect don't use them correctly but you you don't have people running around saying, "I don't use condoms because they don't always work anyway".

But after all of this and seeing how people wear masks, I guess it's easy to believe people don't know how to use condoms too.

Oh My God.

Are we going to be like Denver for the playoffs? I know it’s the longest of shots, but I pray the NFL front office moves the games back if this spreads throughout our entire team. That competitive advantage would be ridiculous to overcome in a playoff game. What The Forkwrench!😡🤬

The research is out there if you look. There isn’t a definitive proof that masks work effectively. You can look at numbers in states that have had strong lockdown and mandatory mask mandates and states that were not so strict. In some instances the states with stronger lockdowns have higher percentage of positive cases. In most comparisons, there is not much difference.
Do you agree the mask reduces the amount of droplets expelled?

If so, do you agree the less amount of droplets equates to a lesser chance of getting.

It's really that simple.

It's my understanding that the mask isn't so much for the wearer's protection, but to protect others from the wearer if the wearer has covid.

The typical mask is not sealed and thus is not a great protection. (Not to mention whether the wearer is wearing it properly.)

(But, yes, wearing a mask is better than not wearing a mask for the wearer.)

NOTE: I'm talking general public and not those "trained in the proper use" of masks like medical personnel, etc

Look the masks helps, but it should be worn in conjunction with social distancing and good hygiene in terms of washing hands, etc. If that photo is accurate, including the date, then Kamara did nothing. In doing so, if again a real photo, then he was tremendously irresponsible and put his teammates in a very bad position going into the playoffs! If the photo is true, however, then I believe he should be held accountable by the team. I don't care if he is the star player or not!

The picture is real. The person who tweeted it is mutual friends with one of the girls in the picture.

AK screwed up. It is what it is.

Link?

He screwed up, but none of us know where he got it from. Whether it was this, if the date and circumstances are accurate, or biking with kids or something else. It doesn't really matter where he got infected. The point is he's personally responsible for protecting himself and somehow, somewhere he slipped up. Hopefully this is all there is to it.

I can't link to the person who originally posted the picture because I'm not their friend on social media.

However the person who then screenshotted the picture and tweeted the picture ("snitched"?) to show everyone is a friend of mine and she showed me the authenticity of the photo.

Sorry if that reads as confusing, but bottom line is the photo is legit.

And look, Alvin isn't the only player who goes out and is guilty of being too relaxed during this pandemic. Other players I know firsthand have gone out to clubs/lounges since the season started. It's why if you've seen my posts the past week I've been advocating hard for Payton to rent out a hotel. I fear(ed) the players will be too relaxed. I won't dry snitch on anyone but we're pretty 'lucky' that we've avoided outbreaks up until this point. But i'm pretty sure every team has had players that have gotten relaxed on safety protocols since the season started, heck the whole country has.

But yes, Alvin slipped up. He has to own up to his actions. Best case scenario we make it through this and get all our guys back for the divisional round and the players take this as a stark lesson to be on their safest behavior for the next month.

1609537830273.jpegCheck the date at the bottom. Not saying this is real or not, just that it’s making it’s rounds on social media. However to be in the area of others without a mask on indoors is incredibly selfish and is highly disappointing.

6 TDs are too much dopamine...
