Wow, I wonder how much Loomis had to kiss Moore’s feet to get him to take the most awful job in the NFL universe.

Maybe they have a deal worked out that Loomis will step down.

I know the deal can’t be signed but why not announced? Kubiak’s agreement was announced and he was in the same position.

Kubiak was not announced to us until after the Super Bowl. It was the source of a lot of drama on this forum with people saying our search was a disaster, no one wants the job, etc. Even though a little logical thinking indicated the team did have a plan, they did have good candidates that wanted the job, and they were going to get one that they wanted. They just had to wait until after the Super Bowl to announce it for league rule reasons. Sounds pretty familiar to the last week here, doesn't it?

Actually, Ralph, If they had already decided they were going to hire Moore before they even left, then they wouldn't have bothered going to meet him in person. Loomis could have negotiated the deal by phone or video meeting with the agent. That's the way deals actually get negotiated in the real world when agents are involved.

And actually, Ralph, people with private jets don't hesitate to use those jets to make things convenient for everyone.

For instance, Bon Jovi flew Phil X from New York to Las Vegas on his private jet to be with his wife for the birth of their first child. Then flew him right back to New York the same day for the concert they had that night.

Corporations and billionaires have private jets so they can do things like that. It's not the big deal that some people think it is.

I think it’s ironic this gets announced just b4 the start of the Chinese new year. Year of the Dragon ends in 4 min and it’ll then be year of the Snake.

Kellen Moore is born in 88…a dragon year. Loomis is a Monkey…both signs are very friendly. This is a Loomis hire, he likes him much.

Now that Kellen Moore is the next HC the next question is who is the future QB.

Do the Saints/Moore like anyone in this draft class outside of the first 2 top prospects?

Not saying we will draft a QB on the first round but a new HC will want to start off with his guy at QB.

Jaxson Dart and Dillon Gabriel could be options.

Maybe trade down this year to get two first next year to prepare for a QB. But i’m not a big fan of Nuss unless he makes a big improvement. He started out pretty good but didn’t perform that great down the stretch.

He performed better than Burrow and Daniels both did their first seasons starting at LSU. Nuss will come out on fire next year, book it
