Pickett said on the Breneman Shows Up program that he’s met with New Orleans twice, at both the NFL scouting combine and around this year’s Senior Bowl. Saints quarterbacks coach/passing game coordinator Ronald Curry was in attendance for his pro day workout and throwing session.

I have a feeling both Malik and Pickett will be gone at 6 and one will be taken at 8 or 9. No way either or is falling to 18. The only way, is if Carolina gets into the Baker/Jimmy G sweepstakes then one of them will fall a bit further.

Is there really a Baker/Jimmy G "sweepstakes"? I think the more applicable term is "giveaway"

I’m not hoping to draft a rookie QB, let Jameis do his thing this year without a rookie breathing down his neck. But I did have Pickett on my fantasy team last year and he put up big numbers every week. He can definitely move an offense down the field.

I think Rhule is going to make a valiant effort to save his job. If they really roll into 2022 with Darnold/Newton as QB, without some type of offseason fanfare, he's probably gonna suffer an Urban Meyer fate. Atlanta, Seattle, Carolina could all possibly be targets for either or. I just have a sneaking suspicion Malik will be the first QB taken because he's been all flash thus far, even if Pickett is the more ready QB to play now.

I agree. So far Matt Rhule has shown nothing but a willingness to save his job (usually by throwing people under the bus). He'll want a draft pick to "develop" to buy him another year, maybe two, otherwise if this continues with whoever he's out by seasons end. So much for the quick turnaround, I guess?

He is fine, but he just can't play this year. I wouldn't be mad at the pick if we sign or trade for a decent #2 WR. That side arm throw tho, YIKES!!!

I'm thinking Rhule takes Pickett since Willis is all about arm talent and then Pitt tries to trade up in front of Atl for Willis. There's a good reason why the Giants put out they are open to trading down.

Dont discount the Saints on him. If they were willing to give up Fort Knox for Watson, they would for sure give up draft picks to move up for their guy.
Watson is a proven top 5 QB, Pickett is an unknown rook. That's a big difference and Loomis has lost out on every significant FA this offseason.
