Klint Kubiak interviewed for Browns OC [Browns promote Tommy Rees to OC] (2 Viewers)

Promote Jonoko maybe? I'd like to think he'd try to retain him. No one suffered more injuries than the Kubiak's Clan and so it's a legit reason for his struggles. Perhaps one more year in the system will cause the penalities to decrease??
I would want to kinda keep Kubiak for at least one more season. Its more for Spencer Rattler than anything, I wouldn't want him having 2 offensive coordinators in 2 years. He would be learning a new system which would make him a Rookie QB again.

My only knock on Kubiak is that his creativity comes in spurts, he runs a play I've never seen before then when 3rd and long comes, he calls the most boring predictable play ever.

I don't think we have to worry about that. I think the most likely scenario would be if Aaron Glenn came and agreed to keep the offensive staff but Kubiak had already left. I'm guessing we would offer the job to Janoko.
If Glenn is the choice, I’m guessing there’s at least a 50/50 of Kubiak staying and maybe Janocko, too, IF, Glenn stresses the importance of halftime adjustments. That’s my only concern is Kubiak, and with this crazy, injury-riddled season, I don’t totally hold that against. I like his system and schemes and he’s young, so it could have been a confidence thing serving under two coaches.

Couldn’t agree more

This to me is exactly one of the reasons why I want an offensive HC. Offensive continuity is permanently built-in as long as they’re around.

Rizzi is getting an interview out of common courtesy. I dont think we need to worry about who is OC might be.

And Im fine with Kubiak walking.

Carmichael 2022 - 19th yardage, 22nd points
Carmichael 2023 - 14th yardage, 9th points
Kubiak 2024 - 21st yardage, 24th in points

If youre counting, Kubiaks offense had the lowest ranking in both yardage and points during the last 3 years.

Also, Fire Loomis.
Kubiak didn't have the players they were injured...irrelevant stats to make this comparison based on circumstances.

No allegiance either way...

If Kubiak is under contract, he's not interviewing with anyone right now. And given the choice of staying as OC in New Orleans under a new head coach (if that is an option), and going to Cleveland with Deshaun Watson and a head coach who will be on the hot seat in 2025, I suspect he will want to stay put.

He can interview with other teams if the Saints give him permission and the Saints have said that they will allow staff to interview for other jobs, including lateral moves. And since we have not heard that the Saints blocked KK from interviewing, I'm pretty certain that they did not block him from interviewing.

We have had injuries every year. Top 3 man games lost those 3 seasons. It’s only irrelevant when you keep finding excuses for whoever it is you’ve decided to protect this week. Results have to matter at some point. A large reason Glenn is getting so much attention is because Detroit has had more injuries than anyone in football and he keeps finding ways to get the job done. He gets the job done, we give out excuses.
