Let's talk Arizona Cardinals (1 Viewer)

Their stadium is hostile/loud? I've hardly heard of their stadium being known for their noise level. Or did I miss posts/articles about that?

lmao Oh boy. Since our stadium was created in 2006, we lead the NFL in false starts at University of Phoenix Stadium. I would like for the Saints fans coming to the game, tell me how loud the stadium get. I'm not sure what to expect from our fans for this upcoming game but I do know that they will be there and loud as always. I love how folks underestimate our fanbase because of the name but numbers don't lie. False Start Central

You guys are awesome :9:

Is this some type of sarcasm? You think the Super Dome is the only stadium in the NFL to get loud. Trust me, I know how loud the Super Dome is and I also know how loud UoPS is. Don't let the name Arizona Cardinals fool you into thinking that we don't have fans because as I stated, the numbers don't lie and for the Saints that are going to Arizona. I hope they enjoy and I want them to tell me how loud it is in there.

When did False Starts become the defacto measure of loudness? You think your stadium is louder then Seattle? Because it's not.

The Detroit Lions and Titans also make the top 5. You think those are really loud stadiums?

Loudness isn't just about forcing a false start or two a game, it's about spending all game keeping the offense on edge, screwing with snap counts, and causing rushed plays. Even more importantly, it's about the psychological effect on players. I've heard tons of players say the Superdome is the loudest place they've ever been and it's disorienting. Lots say that about Seattle as well. I've never heard anyone say that about your field. Not that it isn't loud, but the loudest in the NFL? No. Just no.

Well we do that and I'm not the one bashing somebody's fanbase because of the name. Like I said, I know how loud our stadium is. Be prepared to hear the sound of hells bells and the infamous 3RDdddddddddddd DOWNNNNNNNNNNNNN

lmao Don't say you haven't been warned. Save this post. *snicker*

If you beat us, and you very well might, it's not going to be because of the stadium.

This is going to be a great opportunity for our rookies to build confidence going into the season. It's one thing to perform well in camps and through preseason, but if the newer guys perform above standard in this game, I really think they'll be setting a good pace for themselves for the rest of the season.

That said, if Drew can shred their defense in the first half and create the necessity for Arizona to keep passing to move the ball in big chunks, it will be really exciting to watch our secondary at work, and it will take a good amount of pressure off of the front to stop the run. And we'll get to see how much pressure they can put on Arizona's QB.

lol But we don't have fans. It is going to be about 30,000 Saints fans in UoPS. It's not going to reach 80 decibels.

I've been there, they can make some noise.

Arizona struggles against good running games so again the question is will Sean Payton commit to the run game. Arizona's back end is really good and will crest turnovers because the Saints have always been careless with the football in the passing game. Arizona will hit on at least two big plays against Rob Ryan's defense but it will be critical for the Saints to get a turnover because Carson Palmer will give some int opportunities. The Saints can win this game but Sean Payton must be patient.

Well I guess some is better than a lot. Hopefully we'll have a good amount of Saints fans to make some noise. I hearing lots of fans coming in from the west coast, Texas, Louisiana, and also lots of Saints fans live in Phoenix. Apparently there are watch parties in Phoenix for Saints fans at numerous bars and food places.

Man I'm just excited that we're a mere 2 days away from our team playing some real football, and we're having discussions about it.

It's going to be a good game Sunday and a good season overall.

I did find the fans to be kinda jerks though.

It actually does get pretty loud. I live in Arizona and my friend has season tickets so I've been to a few games and heard it get loud. This will be a tough game.

On another note, my friend was telling me they're only going with 3 DB's..he seemed concerned about that..he said their OLine is shaky right now due to some injuries. Daryl Washington suspension hasn't even been lifted yet..he was suspended all of last year.
