N/S Local Chicago Sports Not Confident In Landing Ben Johnson (1 Viewer)

There’s a lot more to a HC job. Listen to Schefter’s comments.
I think I remember seeing where Johnson said one of the reasons he didn't take a job last yr was because of the propensity of new HC to be fired within 3 yrs of taking over a team, so he didn't want to take over a team that didn't have the tools/assets to turn it around in 3 yrs

But your front office is practically Cleveland Browns level of disaster. No one likes having terrible bosses. Not even NFL head coaches.
Which FO are you talking about?? I'm a Saints guy . No one could call anyone in the Saints FO a bad boss

You can do pros and cons on all the jobs.

The Saints would be one of the most attractive if not for the salary cap issues because we are so stable and a new HC knows Loomis will give him three years and whatever else he needs to succeed money wise.

Still, I think the Bears are where Ben Johnson goes. I'm under the impression he wanted that job last year and stayed with Detroit to wait it out. Why would he not want to take it now? Don't buy it.

Bears are not good, Caleb Williams is looking like he will be a bust being the most inaccurate QB in the league, and they are not close to ready to win.

Cowboys have Jerry Jones, enough said there.

Jets are an absolute dumpster fire and have sheetty ownership that will fire you in a heartbeat.

Jags maybe attractive if you want to keep a second house in Europe.

Browns 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Out of all those Saints are actually likely the most attractive. Patient ownership and FO. The FO listens to the coach and brings in players the coach wants. The roster is set up to win immediately or rebuild immediately, we will have a high draft pick, and already have a good bit of young talent on the roster.
Ridiculous Williams is not looking like a bust. His 1st couple games were rough but he's gotten much better and is improving every week.
And to call ANY player especially a QB a bust after 9 games is crazy
You think completion % proves accuracy??? SMH

No, inaccuracy proves it lmao

I think that’s where I legit hope Rizzi proves to be a viable candidate - if he follows through on the commitment to change.

We may need a guy like him to hold things together while the roster rebuild occurs.
I'm hoping he is our version of Jeff Fisher.

His final years with the Rams he was the butt of Jokes. But from the late 90s until.2009 he was one of the top coaches in football.

He too started out as an interm coach

The line is terrible and some people say the gm focused too much on the skill positions and not enough on the O line. I don't think his performance this season will deter a new coach.

The fact you call williams the most inaccurate QB in the league while Anthony Richardson exist is wild.

Richardson is not a starter anymore 🤷‍♂️
He has been the starter every game he has played this season except the last 2 cause he got benched and when he got hurt for 2 games. My point still stands cause the only reason richardson got bench is cause he was bad throwing the ball. His last 2 starts he was 10/24 and 10/32 that is the reason he isn't the starter anymore, So my point is still correct.

Pure speculation but I believe the below teams will be in need of a head coach:

Dallas Cowboys
Chicago Bears
New Orleans Saints
New York Giants
New York Jets
Jacksonville Jaguars
Cleveland Browns
Los Angeles Rams

Out of all of those, I believe that the Rams job and the Giants job are the most attractive. Sean McVay flirted with retiring last year and may take a year off so the Rams job is 50/50. The Giants job will be filled by Bill Belichick.

So that leaves the Bears, Cowboys, Jets, Jags, Browns and Saints. And in that order is the order of attractive.
YEAH OK
