My organization is looking for a backup internet service for one of our rural area clinics. Because of the location, options are very thin. A consultant suggested we look into Starlink. I know it's pricey already (considering it's Elon), but for those who have it, how is the coverage and connection, especially during inclement weather. How different is it from regular satellite internet? Appreciate any feedback.

worth it. i've used a few of them and they are incredibly reliable.

i have one now and seems very easy...there is a congestion charge on the home one...none on the mini...maybe...all depends on the area ...just be aware of the congestion charge

We use starlink....so far (6 months) it's been extremely reliable and fairly fast. I average ~80-100mbps down and 10-15 up. I've seen 400 down and see 200's pretty regularly.
I've never had an outtage even with all the snow/ice we get.
