You joke, but looking at this thread caused me to look at some Saints draft history (yeah, I know, I'm a glutton for punishment). In 1968 we took a DT named Kevin Hardy from Notre Dame with the 7th overall pick. He never played a down for us. Guess who was the 8th pick? Larry Csonka by the Dolphins.

I may do some more research and do a thread about the draft blunders from the early years of the Saints. That will really make us appreciate the Saints leadership of today.

It's a "on this day in sports history" section and I guess that was the biggest news for April 2nd. But it does catch your eye when your browsing for news about your team.
 
Maybe it was a future pick and is now their 2008 3rd rounder?
