I have never been a big fan of Marcus Williams. I do not like his tackling. When the game is on the line and a tackle needs to be made I would not want Williams to be the guy you need to count on.

Just finding this thread, please excuse me skipping the next 7 pages after your post lol.

You mentioned in another thread that as great as MW was, he gave us nothing in man coverage and so we couldn't really every truly send 0 blitzes. Does Maye solve this? I remember he played at an All-Pro level once upon a time.

If he can give us even 75% of the deep field dominance that MW gave then we shouldn't see too many issues with the defense picking up where they left off.

I think he isn't as rangy as Williams but he's more versatile. So what you're ascertaining is correct he won't be as good of a DB at single high as Williams was (though it may help that he has better secondary talent here) but he'll be able to do things that Williams couldn't, should the Saints decide to use him in that manner.
