The one stat that sticks out is their yards per catch in 2021 at 15.2 and 15.8

For comparison Micheal Thomas career avg is 11.7 and Jarvis Landry is 11.0

Deonte Harty same as Callaway took a big step.foward

Catches 36
Yards 570
Avg. 15.8
TDs 3

Harty flashed big play ability last year both are roster locks for this season and with the return of Thomas and additions of Olave and Landry they won't get as many touches but when they do they have proven they can both produce and both are valuble special team members.

Also going legitimately 5 deep at WR will cover up the weakness at TE more than people realize.

No doubt. There's a big difference in having Trautman as your 3rd or 4th primary target and having him as the 5th or 6th weapon. There isn't going to be that much pressure on the young man this season in terms of seeing a lot of targets. He should get lost in the shuffle and have some really great opportunities to make a play when his number is called.

This year his primary role should be as a blocker but he could be a sneaky option with the WRs running deeper routes. Middle of the field is going to be a pasture. Before the TE became one of the featured elements of SP's offense I can remember our TEs being butt naked open. Like the defense forgot they were eligible to catch passes. Old school guys like Ernie Conwell, Billy Miller, David Thomas, etc.

I don't think you'll see a lot of Callaway.

I think Harris will be the 4th guy. He got better hands, route running, and more explosive. I just hope Pete doesn't pull a Payton and making run terrible routes with no inside leverage at 5'6". Curl, Gos, crossers... That's it. Never want to see him running a flat ever again. Pick Six waiting to happen.

Harris gots the nastiest curls on the team and he makes clutch plays on 3rd down. He knows how to operate in space way better

I think that’s totally incorrect.

I think Hardy and his demands for a new contract will take a backseat… Hardy will have to “prove it” primarily as a return specialist.

Callaway will be the 3rd/4th WR and he will thrive!

Watch once the spotlight of being a team’s #1 is off him how he dominates 3rd/4th CBs and box/reserve safeties.

Bet.

#4 or #5..does it really matter? I’m sure they’ll both be used

Exactly Harty and Callaway are more like 4a and 4b they have different skill sets which makes them even more situational interchangeable.

Gotta get DH on the field with his speed, it makes defenses have to play coverage differently. Hit a couple of big shots early in the season to DH and Olave, teams will have to take notice. BACK UP FEW YARDS, OR GO COVER2 Nickel!!! The short and intermediate opens up for cantguardmike, juiceman, AK and TE. The run game has one less in the box or a smaller guy to account for. The '22 season can't come fast enough.

CANT WAIT!!

Yes our passing attack will go toward our talented receiving group however

Payton loved the Tightend screen and Tightend crossing pattern where the TE fakes blocking and goes thru traffic and breaks out deep the other side

Our glorified Tight end wannabe Taysom Hill and his corrupt contract doesnt have the skillset to track the deep TE pass patterns

Louie sees 2022 Louie BFF Lucas Krull being our#1 TE at the end of the year

If Thomas comes back healthy, Olave picks up the playbook and Landry is solid, whoever we have out of these two guys on the field in a four WR set should be wide open. The team needs to get in as many 2nd and four situations as possible. Line up with no TE and with Kamara at RB....Winston will only have to decide if it's a blitz or not. After the snap, there will be multiple options.

This offense stays healthy, and our defense keeps it going, good luck to the rest of the NFC.

And the beauty is that Winston has shown excellent chemistry with both of those guys that will likely be 4th and 5th on the depth chart.

Callaway entered last season as the defacto #1 WR and really didn't do much with the job. Of course our QB was inconsistent. This year, he will not be in the top 3 WR's. He's now fighting for a spot in the group of WR's #4 thru #6.

Callaway was an UDFA - there is nothing promised to him. He will have a earn it against other WR's going to camp this year.

Don’t wanna throw cold water on this comment, but the Falcons and Bucs said the same thing last year with their offensive Skill position weapons.
In the NFL every yard is earned.
We just need to average 24 points a game.

I believe both Calloway and Deonte will get their chances in this offense….they won’t get as many touches (obviously) but they can still be significant contributors….It will be curious to see of they put Deonte back on return duties….many think that is a given, I’m not so sure…..
