It's a joke fam to people that care more about WR blocking than they should... Like you.
Um. If you don't think downfield blocking is important then you need to watch MUCH more football. <smdh>

So following one ignorant comment with another is a joke? Ok....
My other joke was saying WR blocking was gonna win games, but it was too on the nose. If you know what I mean.... I also had the 2021 All Pro Blocking WR team last year did us any good. I think that was a bit too negative.

That's really funny because on almost every big play there are key blocks by WR's/TE's downfield that make it a big play.....

I don't know where they will play Calloway this year, but in his 2nd year, he put up 698yds with questionable QB play, was forced to be our #1 receiver. I fully expect him to have a great year. He will be a year more experienced, and should be going against less talented DB's, and have Winston throwing to him all year. Yeah, I think he could have a break out year for sure. He looked really good in his 2nd year, and this year he is set up to be MUCH better.

I expect Calloway to have a much better year....and better than 700yds is nothing to sneeze at. It's TQS that I wonder about. People have expected him to have his break out year for like 3 years now, and we're still waiting. I'm not sold on him, but I'm a big believer in Calloway. He's shown what he can do, in the most difficult of circumstances, and he's just coming into his own. I'm really excited about our WR room this year, there are a lot of mouths to feed.

Well guys, after today, we now know how DHop got that 40 down from a 4.5 to a 4.41. "Stay off the PEDs" (Stephen A voice)

I'd say it might be up to training camp if Landry comes. Landry is a great route runner so it will be interesting as things heat up in camp. Just hope Calloway doesn't get discouraged if he drops to 4th in WR. Winston will have a lot of options, but I wouldn't expect big numbers for Calloway.

Really all this talk about Callaway and brining in Landry is the least of my concern. The question that should be on everyone's mind is how healthy is Winston. When is he coming back? Will he be ready for minicamp, OTAs or at least training camp. Winston status is still up in the air. Part of the reason why I wanted to get a quarterback in the draft.

Expected to be ready for training camp. That news came out around the same time he signed his 2-year deal.

I absolutely love what Harty brings to the table, he’s so electric. Sadly I think he will stay banged up given his size.

Yep, they need to stop using him on those jet sweeps....If he could bulk up just 10-15 lbs it would help but not sure his frame is built for that....

Right now... Harris is the front runner for #3. Which isn't ideal. Tiny slot options tend to disappear when you give them terrible sideline routes*cough Payton* with no inside leverage over 6ft DBs.

Source? I think Calloway is the next in line....for Harty to be they would pretty much have to take him off special teams duty....I don't expect them to do that but we will see....Maybe they think Easop is ready to replace him (which I'm actually hoping for) but Harty is one of the best, if not the best returner in the NFL.....

I think Harty will be a contributor but they will use him more sparingly than Calloway.....

I agree.

It will be interesting to see how Rashid Shaheed fits into the WR/KR equation, if he fits in at all. His performance may free up Harty to play more WR. But that still leaves the concern about Harty's size and fragility, although WR may be easier on his frame than KR.

I haven't seen Rashid Shaheed play (not even highlights yet - working my way through some of the UDFAs) so I don't yet know what he will bring to the table. I suspect, though, that Harty's role remains much the same and Rashid Shaheed makes the PS if anything. But we'll see.

The Shaheed signing could also be bringing depth to the KR/RP if Easop is the first up after Harty. We've seen how not having depth in that area can affect a game when KR/PRs go from a chance to make a play to just put someone back there to catch the ball. KR/PR also seems like a way to get guys PT as they develop larger roles, Harty and potentially Easop.
