Would have liked to have him back, but I get why they might not want to pay $5.5 million for him. He did a good job for us last year, but there is always the risk that he reverts back to not being able to catch.

He's also not really what we are missing. We have deep threats in Olave and Shaheed. What we are missing is a guy that can do work over the middle and at the short to intermediate level.

No doubt, but he was hitting those same throws to Shaheed when Shaheed was healthy. Hopefully Shaheed can stay healthy this year.

I do wonder if signing Pettis was in part an attempt to keep Shaheed healthy by giving the returner duties to Pettis?

Wilson has a history with Moore and had his best years working with Moore in Dallas. I assumed he would be cut and wanted him cut to save the money, but if Moore thinks he can use him, he would know better than me.
