^ to add to this, there’s a theory out there this movie is set in an alternate universe/timeline and they eventually get pulled into ours. Would actually make sense to have a different Surfer there and you can cast your “permanent” Surfer later if that’s the case

This is my theory.

All leaked info points to this movie being in a self contained universe to start, then them getting merged into the main MCU eventually. So this likely isn't the real MCU Silver Surfer.

But that said, good lord am I over this multiverse stuff.

i dunno. she's a really good actress. Maybe they wanted to get her involved in the movie. Maybe there was something they could do more interesting with that character. we'll have to wait and see.
