Guys, am I missing something here? They land Armstead, good signing. They sign Teddy as QB2 good signing. Then they loose their minds and use all their draft capital and cap space to trade for a WR. To get Tua to work? There is no QB in the draft, who can walk in as a starter. This would make much more sense if they had a good QB under a manageable contract. But, Tua? Flores was right about Tua.

They invested in a top-notch LT and one of the best receivers in the game. I admit it was a lot for Hill but giving a young QB protection and a weapon is not a bad strategy.

Maybe they're prepping to run Tua out of town at some point this season and go with TB?

Signing a 3 time pro-bowl left tackle, an established vet QB to push your young starter, and trading for a top 5 WR doesn't really sound like "losing" to me.
Why don't you reread the post. I said Tearon, and Teddy were good signings. Sticking with Tua, and using all your draft capital and picks for a WR to get your lame #1 QB to work, and paying a WR QB $$$. Is a loosing game.

They’ve had a good offseason. Better than us.

I don't think you understand what part of their offseason decisions are "free agency"

Miami Dolphins’ free agency moves

The Dolphins used their $50+ million in salary cap space to get Tua Tagovailoa a No. 1 receiver, retain their two best free agents, beef up a bad offensive line, and keep their highly ranked defense intact. Every starter and most key backups on the defensive side of the ball are back.

Signed running back Chase Edmonds

Contract details: Two years, $12.1 million

Analysis: Edmonds comes to Miami with a chance to finally be RB1 after averaging 4.7 yards per carry in spot duty in Arizona.

Franchise tagged tight end Mike Gesicki

Contract details: One year, $10.9 million

Analysis: Don’t think of this as a one-year, $10.9 million deal. Think of it as a two-year, $24 million deal since the Dolphins can (and probably will) tag Gesicki again in 2023.

Signed running back Raheem Mostert

Contract details: One year, $2.1 million

Analysis: This is the best value of the Dolphins’ entire cycle. Yes, Mostert is coming off significant knee surgery, but his recovery is on track. When healthy, he’s electric.

Signed guard Connor Williams

Contract details: Two years, $14 million

Analysis: With Armstead aboard, Williams almost certainly will be the Dolphins’ starting left guard in 2022 — and a clear upgrade over Austin Jackson.

AFC has so many potentially good teams. this team might struggle. but they no doubt made good moves to stay competitive.

Then why did they sign the best deep threat WR to QB $$$ for a #1 draft bust QB, that can't throw the ball further than a lingering fart? Tua's Yards per throw is in the dumpster. Is it the WR that makes the QB? How do they move off Tua if he underwhelms again, after paying Hill?
