Miami Dolphins make the biggest loser move in FA............by far! (title edit) (1 Viewer)

Sure wish the Saints would make an aggressive move at Wr. But i guess they think everything's fine

Miami has two 1st round picks in 2023. They are building a competitive team, eliminating excuses for Tua, and may draft a QB next year. The Hill trade/contract is an overpay, but Miami is actively getting better talent.

It is obvious the feel if they give him a good target and a good OL with a consistent defense he cane take them further than 9-8. The moves they made would only be bad if they have no clear goal in mind. It is pretty obvious what they are trying to do and they are actually doing it.

$30m annually in cap space to Hill on top of five draft picks lost, including a first and second rounder.

I understand the frustration with the Saints being so passive right now, but that kind of hit for a WR is insanity.

Why don't you reread the post. I said Tearon, and Teddy were good signings. Sticking with Tua, and using all your draft capital and picks for a WR to get your lame #1 QB to work, and paying a WR QB $$$. Is a loosing game.

I tend to agree, though the fact that Miami has 2 1st rounders next year lessens the blow a bit....giving up the farm for a WR almost never works out......

Do you know what this is?

I think the trade value was actually pretty fair, but I agree the contract is an overpay.

Exactly that...when troubleshooting an issue you isolate suspected causes...what they're doing is isolating the QB position to see if it's an area of need.

Guys, am I missing something here? They land Armstead, good signing. They sign Teddy as QB2 good signing. Then they loose their minds and use all their draft capital and cap space to trade for a WR. To get Tua to work? There is no QB in the draft, who can walk in as a starter. This would make much more sense if they had a good QB under a manageable contract. But, Tua? Flores was right about Tua.

Talk shows said that Tua will be given a year to succeed and that if he fails, Teddy would be the fail safe and they would use next year's draft picks acquired in the trade to get a top notch QB

That is what's called a plan...and a plan that makes sense. Fudge, we should've gotten McDaniel as our HC

I mean, the Saints resigned their mediocre WR... if Miami is losing, the Saints aren't even in the race.

Hopefully another year on that surgically repaired pelvis/hip gets him back to where he was at college. He had a really good deep ball and it vanished overnight.
