Miami Dolphins make the biggest loser move in FA............by far! (title edit) (1 Viewer)

I think we're going to try and trade up in the first for one of the Ohio St guys.
Prefer we just stay pact and draft Jameison. Get real Vet help at WR. We don't need more young guys. We need high IQ vets.

Signing a 3 time pro-bowl left tackle, an established vet QB to push your young starter, and trading for a top 5 WR doesn't really sound like "losing" to me.
The RB core is not bad either.

Then why did they sign the best deep threat WR to QB $$$ for a #1 draft bust QB, that can't throw the ball further than a lingering fart? Tua's Yards per throw is in the dumpster. Is it the WR that makes the QB? How do they move off Tua if he underwhelms again, after paying Hill?
He only played 13 games and his yards per attempt was 6.8 which was on low end but that's not the true measure. He was accurate 67.8 percent. I mean you could throw a 2 yard flip and the ball gets moved 70 yards downfield and the QB gets the credit for 72 yards vs just the 2 yards . Hill can be used in shot medium and long range he just isn't one dimensional.
We just tried to get Watson with absolutely zero wr talent no real dependable TE help just Kamara you can't count Thomas into that equation because he has been out of the game for 2 years basically. Think about the whole picture because it's not that cut and dry.

Guys, am I missing something here? They land Armstead, good signing. They sign Teddy as QB2 good signing. Then they loose their minds and use all their draft capital and cap space to trade for a WR. To get Tua to work? There is no QB in the draft, who can walk in as a starter. This would make much more sense if they had a good QB under a manageable contract. But, Tua? Flores was right about Tua.
They are attacking FA as if they are just a player or two from the SB. The problem is that their QB is awful. You often see teams with bad QB's they wish were good but aren't so they pretend they ate and lose again.

That's how you get to the Superbowl is you attack it so you can get there you grab these guys when you can because someone else will and you can't get better if you don't have the talent.

Once again we were going to give a ton of money and draft for a qb that would be coming into to the season with Calloway and his 40 some odd receptions as the lead wr and Thomas as a huge question mark. You don't get better by sitting back and being reactive instead of proactive. Which so far we haven't done a thing again so far nothing to improve our offense and cap with the cap money we have.

It's not like we have been attacking anything except trying to get into a bidding war over Watson and looking bad by having to double back to Winston. I like Jameis and he is a decent stop gap as this moment but may be better down the road but he isn't in the top 10 rating either. I hope we attack wr,defensive line, offensive line and TE position somehow some way.

Winning the off season, isn't ..........winning! Please, all the clown posters. Any bold predictions. How many wins will Tua and the Finns have? They were a pretty good team last year. Super Bowl!!!! Woo hoo!!

Over spending for (arguably) the best deep threat in the NFL, and it looks like your back up QB drives the ball down field better than your draft mistake. Awkward.

Tua: Yards per pass 6.8

Teddy: YPP 7.2

Taylor Heinicke: YPP 6.9

Matt Rayn : YPP 7.1

Jamies Winston: YPP 7.7

Joe Burrow at the top : 8.6

They finished over .500 last year. I say they have gotten better.

They play in 2022:
Ravens
Chicago
Cinci
Lions
Bills (Twice)
Pats (Twice)
Jets (tice)
Cleveland
Pittsburg
Packers
Vikings
Chargers
Texans
49ers

I say they sweep the Jets, Split with the pats and bills, Beat Chicago, Detriot, Cleveland, Pittsburg, and texans and I'm 50/50 on raves and 9ers.

I say 9 maybe 10 wins.

$30m annually in cap space to Hill on top of five draft picks lost, including a first and second rounder.

I understand the frustration with the Saints being so passive right now, but that kind of hit for a WR is insanity.
It really is. I’d have fallen out if we surrendered a QB1 type haul for a wr. Tyreek is awesome, but there’s no way I’d ever be cool with a wr eating up that much cap and knowing we had to give away 5 picks.

It’s funny so many seem to be cool w/this. Cause I’m quite sure had DA and Mickey thrown our draft class at KC for Tyreek, this board would’ve rightfully exploded in fury.

You kinda have to make those big moves if you're Miami. Mac Jones in New England showed he can play in this league. You have the Bills who were a few busted plays on defense from getting to the AFC title game.

This is Tua's sink or swim season. He'll have weapons galore. Given who they hired as a HC, I think they're gonna run the football a lot better to take pressure off Tua.

I think you are being ambitious, but 9 wins would be a good season for them.
