I find it a little interesting that Shaheed rather than Olave was Carr's chosen wideout to run that game-clinching play. I get that they expected the safety to shade to Olave's side, but interesting nonetheless.

Olave had like 8 catches so maybe DC figured they would pay more attention to him. And Shaheed has better straight line speed to blow past the DB

I hope everyone gives as much credit to PC as they are giving DC for that play. It was a great design and that's PC's bread and butter. Dc was asking for another shot play, PC had to pick which one AND have confidence in DC and the O to make the play. PC's confidence in DC and the rest of the O is there unlike last yr

They both have 4.3 to 4.4 speed. Olave ran a 4.26 at the combine. I do agree Shaheed looks faster, but those are their clocked times.

So yes, probably more about the matchup and expected coverage.
