Michael Thomas was one of the best players in the NFL, then he disappeared from football. So what really happened to Michael Thomas? (2 Viewers)

Would love to see Mike T suit up in a Saints uniform again. Respect the soldiers.

The game was over. No amount of cope can change that.

You know what makes it worse? Running the ball 3x in a row gave them a BETTER chance at winning than just kneeling it out 3 times. There was quite honestly better chance at a fumble and scoop for a touchdown followed by an onside kick, than them scoring twice starting with the ball at their own 10 with no timeouts.
Exactly. And it has happened in the last year in a game in an ACC game between Miami and Georgia Tech. Miami is up by 3 with the ball with 43 seconds left. Tech has no time outs. There's a 40 second game clock.

As many have said here, the game is literally over... until Miami did a stupid...

When the game is over, you kneel the ball. Anything else is stupid.

no thanks... team did better without him last year... the offense was confused on who was #1 receiver and his negative attitude was not helpful
Actually it is simpler than that now. MT13 isn't a #1,#2, or #3 anymore and he can't play special teams. The Saints no longer have a spot for him.

Football sucks when guys get hurt and it ends there career. I've never been one to follow offseason drama. I'll remember Mike as a tough sob that could've been a great. He tried to achieve that even though his body would no longer let him.

I think it's dumb to hold grudges about this kind of stuff. It's just bad luck.

One of the Best WR in Saints history, unfortunately injuries ended his domination and career. I really have a lot of respect for Michael Thomas and I wish him the best of luck.

Hall of fame trajectory and greatest Saints WR of all time---injuries took their toll. If he could still play at a high level, he would be on an NFL roster today.

The real answer is the same thing that Happened to Alvin Kamara with that stale offense. They looked washed up.

I bet anything he’d PRODUCE in this offense

He also decided not to listen to the Saints when it came to his injuries and his recovery.
This also contributed to the end of his career.

He never recovered from an injury that should not have been a long term problem...

You just can't ignore the fact that once he got paid his decline began. He could've been an all-time great if he could have kept his ego in check.

Got paid and quit.
tell us you don't watch football without telling us you you don't watch football.. lol .
I'd like y'all to look up his stats the season AFTER he signed his big contract and post those numbers..

He brought "DIVA" to a new level

Thomas had a great year in 2019 the same year he signed his contract after that his contract wasn't worth his production...

I don't need to watch the video to know what really happened.

He was left in to run-block in a game that we literally could have knelt the football and still won, and suffered a nasty ankle injury that in all honesty should have ended his season. He instead rushed back before he was fully healthy and further damaged his ankle to help try and win a Superbowl for Drew's last season.

That's what ended his career ultimately.
This. Exactly this. That was one thing that always bothered me about SP. He would have starters in the game even though the game was clearly out of reach. I can't remember how much time was left in that game but I remember wondering why he was still in. I understand it's important to get game reps in but at what cost? And CGM was coming off of an OPOY season so it wasn't like he needed extra blocking reps.

When the game is out of reach you have to get the most critical pieces off the field. It's the only time that a coach has control over injuries.
