Our problems start at the top. Mickey is willfully blind that DA is just not a head coach, that we have kicked the can down the road so many times in regards to our salary cap that it will take multiple years to return to cap health. And that to truly compete for a SB we need a dynamic new QB.

He has dug a huge hole that we as fans know will take many years to fix. We all know this and want that process started so we can have hope again that we will have legit shot at competing for a championship. The longer Loomis is willfully blind to this the longer it will take. As true fans we can deal with the poor football we know will come with a rebuild as long as we can see the light at the end of the tunnel, but Mickey only offers us mediocrity and no light going forward. And his arrogance directed toward to media and fans lately, means he just needs to go.

I was OK with the can kicking when drew was around. We could justify the one last crack at a ring.

But I can't believe this has continued on for 3 years beyond now. Our cap situation continues to handicap us and leave us treading water in no man's land.

His head in the sand with the current coaching staff is the icing on the cake tho.

Destined to be long term mediocre.

I find it hard to believe that Mickey Loomis fails to recognize he is not the shining star GM/Owner he thinks he is. I mean results speak volumes!

Gayle Benson has two functions. Attend team grandstanding events and “sign here ma’am”. Has she ever taken the podium and addressed the status of the franchise? Does she bleed Black and Gold? I don’t think so.

Mickey Loomis is our unofficial fumbling owner. He’s got the keys to momma’s Lamborghini with no care in the world. He knows it. And we all know it too. He likes his big important position but after twenty something years, wins are great but not a priority. Not really that surprising regular people working in the same job for many years often fall into the same careless rut. Sorry not the best ‘state of affairs’ to pass along but probably pretty accurate. Expect more of the same, momma’s Lamborghini stuck-in-neutral not going anywhere.

He can’t right the ship if he can’t see what wrong. We already know it will take time and that’s if we started now. He is kicking the can down the road on a rebuild just like he is doing with our cap. I have patience but it’s not indefinite.
Pretty sure that was sarcasm

Along with Loomis failing year in year out for a while now, making some ultra moronic cap moves and draft trades - his (or Kentucky Gayle's) unwillingness to move out of the way and usher in a new era is going to cost us Khai Harley. If you have any faith at all with this franchise moving forward, I honestly cant listen to anything you say. This is a disaster thats been unfolding in slow motion since the minute Loomis took the laziest HC hiring approach of all time.

Fire Allen. Get Loomis out of Operations and promote Harley to GM before someone else does. Flip side is, I would take this job if I were Khai Harley if I couldnt hire my own guy as HC. If Allen staying is part of the deal, Id go anywhere else where I would actually have control as GM to fix the obvious problems. Allen continuing would be a non starter. He isnt taking a job that set up for him to fail.

None of that is going to happen - and thats EXACTLY why we are where we are. Tougher schedule and another wasted year on the way. This franchise will NEVER turn any corner with Allen under the headset. He is a perpetual lame duck.

I honestly think that ML has a 2-3 year plan when it comes to our salary cap, but the success of it comes with the hopes of certain players playing well enough for us to restructure some contracts, along with hopes of younger (Cheaper contract guys) playing well enough as well. Barring any drama related issues, that plan could always work, but I think this off season may be a tough one, bc we will lose some fan favorites. I could see ML stepping aside within the next few years bc he will face some backlash from the fans, but he will be hedging his bets on our team winning. That’s the cure all. If the team wins, then a lot of the noise will go away.

Its amazing the narrative being created here. Some people just want to be upset. Saints expectations have been set way to high.
I keep saying this, but the DNA of the franchise is forever changed.
A winning season is not enough.
A division title is not enough.
It’s about winning a Super Bowl and when it’s not that it’s about what you’re gonna do to win a Super Bowl.

I disagree. How is us expecting to win a garbage division, with the easiest schedule having high expectations? A division title SHOULD be the minimum. Did you know that we didn’t score a TD on an opening drive until week 17? Some things are just not acceptable. Last year the Bucs won the division with a losing record. We were not even the best of the losers🤣. The sad part is some of yall are just flat out accepting of mediocrity and that is alarming. It’s not even about expectations as of today, but it begs the question: Do we even have expectations or standards?
