Microsoft Paid The NFL $400 Million To Use Its Tablets, But Announcers Are Calling Them iPads

I think its equivalent to calling all can drinks soda, hey, its an ipad type device

Not even remotely close to true. The Surface Pro is a full-fledged computer running the full-fledged Windows; you can install all desktop Windows software on it.

An iPad is an iPhone with a larger screen that just runs mobile apps on a mobile operating system. There is a VERY big difference to any working professional that actually uses one or the other for real work. Microsoft should rightfully be annoyed, since they're the only entity in existence that has made a real computer with respectable horsepower the size of a tablet.

Sorry Sharon, you couldn't be more wrong. I can do so much more with my surface than I can an ipad, which basically is a large iPhone that hasn't innovated in over 4 years. Instead of taking a laptop on vacation, I now take my surface and can remote to the office and control the servers. You can't do that on an ipad, but you can play with over 1000 fart apps. New iPhone 6 is out. They have two new sized and NFC, which other phone OS's have had for over two years. But all the isheep will claim it's great and they invented big phones.

Typical android user response. Why are people isheep because they use a certain device or OS? I have apple and microsoft products and they all have their pros and cons, but I do see the upside going to apple because they do work better. As far as NFC I have never seen anyone use it on a phone while I have been at a store and I can almost guarantee that will change when apple comes to market with it. Oh and something ridiculous like 98% of fortune 500 companies are now using apple products compared to microsoft, now why can't you use an iPad for your business again?

It's like Scott paying $400 mil to be the official tissue of the NFL, you know they'll still be called Kleenexes.

Yes branding is a very powerful thing or association.

For instance to this day many people believed Ed McMahon worked for publishers clearing house, when in actuality he worked for thier rival American publishers. Not many remember that company even though they gave him and Dick Clark heavy endorsement deals

Blast from the past lol.
That example has actually been listed on the Mandela Effect.

Oh and screw Bill Gates. 😊

We've discovered through VR research that our brains work like predictive text with sensory perceptions. Some of what we think we see and hear is actually our brains generating what it expects to see and hear next.

I think that’s how the NFL officials operate, throwing flags on what they think they see instead of what really is

11 years before threadomancy? Impressive.

From the time of this thread to now? MS has closed all of their retail stores and rebranded a few “flagships.”

Meanwhile Apple has…well, looks like they are doing something right.
