Mike McCarthy didn’t garner the interest from Saints that he anticipated and taking a year off; McCarthy backs out as a result of Moore being in lead (4 Viewers)

Not that I want it to happen but that would be in true Saints fashion have Moore reject the offer and we end up with Rizzi by default because the pool dried up. It sounds like they have Moore, but it wouldn't surprise me if something went sideways at the 11th hour.
If that would happen, then Gayle Benson should fire Loomis with the utmost haste.

What happens if Kellen Moore withdraws his name from consideration? Rizzi?

No reason to think Kafka wouldn’t remain in the mix. He’s got to at least be thinking about an exit from New York with Daboll’s future uncertain going into next season.

McCarthy is my first choice but I figure the team want someone young and upcoming. If I have to go by what's available now, I settle for Moore.

The Saints have offered Kellen Moore and he's accepted. They cannot officially announce it until the Super Bowl is over. That is the only actual explanation for all of the other potential Saints candidates dropping out like Thanos snapped. If all these guys are pulling out and Moore hasn't unofficially officially accepted the job, then YIKES.

I sure hope Moore has his staff ready to go and makes us proud to be a saints fan. I am not sure about this guy but will pull for him.

Makes you wonder if they gave him Ben Johnson money.

I don’t consider it to be in shambles really, and I’m not just putting on B&G glasses. We were limited on when we could interview Moore, and he may have been up there w Glen, presumably, in terms of the front office’s wish list. He’s proven to be a good OC in his last three stops and is a young and innovative offensive-minded coach who has shown he will change it up based on his players strengths, and he’s also without a connection to the last regime to boot. If we do land him, I couldn’t be happier w the selection.
Young offensive minded coach, bringing in his staff from other organizations and knows he is coming into a team that is rebuilding, almost the same scenario that brought Payton here after a 4-12 season.

The football Gods owe us some positive football impact from Phillidelphia just from all of the good we've sent their way...they got from us:
- Prime Malcolm Jenkins
- Sproles' NFL grand finale
- Ceedy for a 7th or some ish
- The plus end of our draft trade
- Halftime by Ying Yang Twins
- a SB Appearance in our home stadium
- Zach Baun
- and I'm probably forgetting something else...

So yeah Philly owes us

I don't think so, but I expect they gave him plenty of assurances they know the Saints cap and roster situation is not going to be the easiest to rebuild and they'll give him patience for the first two years because the cap and roster are not looking good for 2025 and 2026.
