People tend to judge way too much in preseason. A lot of times coaches will put their players in hard to win positions to see how they respond. Judging player performance on preseasons game is just not smart but the average fan looks at preseason games just as a normal game, not what’s best for the team from an evaluation stand point.

There was a very good goalie that hockey fans around here will easily recall, Ryan Miller, that played most of his career with my favorite team the Buffalo Sabres.

Anyway, he got the nickname Miller Time, had it airbrushed as part of his art on his helmet, one design even incorporating the Miller Lite font with it. It was great and went on for a while before the fun police decided to get involved.

He had it on his Olympic Helmet too

Love Miller Lite it's my favorite big brand beer.

I thought Saldiveri had a good game tonight.

Mark Evans came in and took his place and seemed to hold his own.

Chuck Filiaga is a big dude that moves better than I expected.
I’m hoping he and Evans get stashed on the PS.

Early days, but I honestly don’t see the kind of burst and quickness in Miller that I’ve seen in some other backs drafted around where he was taken or later. Nothing he’s done has led me take a quick breath and say “wow!” Of course I recall having the same impression of Mark Ingram in his rookie camp. It took a while but he turned out to be a pretty good back…
