Mindhunter on Netflix (1 Viewer)

I saw there were a few comments on the netflix thread, but I wanted to bring the Mindhunter discussion back here

S2 was as great as S1, and love where the character development is going. I'm interested to see where it leads with Tench's son. His creeping on the little girl at the park with dead silence and awkward stares is either setting him up to be a deviant, or could just be how some people are viewed as outcast because of their weird disposition.

We've already seen how his mother reacts, feeling the isolation and judgement from their community, and now taking off. And Tench himself is trained to recognize and profile these behaviors. How they perceive and treat their son is going to effect how he deals with his trauma, having witnessed the death of the small boy, and how he reacts to everyone else treating him differently.

and Anna Torv is one of the sexiest things on tv right now

she was just as sexy in Fringe.

Isn't he autistic? I don't remember if they said that in season one. Actually, now that I think about it, I suppose autism wasn't really a "thing" back then so maybe they are misreading his symptoms. Of course the bed wetting we all know means you are a serial killer. If he kicks a cat at any point in this show he gonna be a killer no doubt.

I finished S2 this weekend - one of my favorite shows on TV. Their attention to detail is amazing - the guys playing each of the historically famous subjects were dead ringers.

The interview with the BTK survivor was one of the most intense TV moments I've seen in a long time.

Last year I listened to a podcast on the Atlanta child murders called Atlanta Monster - the podcast eventually fizzled out by teasing all sorts of bombshells that never appeared and/or floating totally unsupported theories, but it also had a huge amount of detail on the crimes and law enforcement efforts to catch the killer. All of that was portrayed to the letter in Mindhunter S2.

There is a quick scene in Ep 6 where Wayne Williams shows up with a camera to the crime scene 2 episodes before he appears as the main suspect.

Good show overall. My only gripe is the Wendy character is annoying and a lot of the detective dialogue, especially between the main three is like listening to three robots. Nobody talks like that.

The serial killer actors have all been good even if not completely accurate.

I was about 10 when the murders in atlanta happened. I've always thought there might have been another killer. I was little and recall a conversation that a couple of the kids were handicap. That doesn't fit the profile so if that's true then I believe there is more than one murderer. Does anyone recall this..

it seems clear that they are implying these 3 are not fully formed adults by any stretch but power ranger together into some mega serial killer whisperer

Yes they did, and I believe w.w. is the primary offender. I believe at least 1 child was murder by a non serial killer.

Good show. I just finished first two seasons. To me it got really odd once the got stuck in Atlanta. Pushed me away and drew me in more at the same time.
