MJD really just said the Rams have a better defense. (1 Viewer)

Well...that might be the only thing MJD got right. IMHO, after seeing Gurly and Anderson in last week’s game against the Cowboys, I now believe the Saints have the second best rushing duo. I don’t believe there is a single defense that can tackle Gurly and Anderson for four quarters straight. Anderson reminds me of Jerome Bettis and Gurly is Gurly.

I can’t wait to see what kind of game plan we come up with.

People are quick to forget that this dude was sitting on his couch a few weeks ago for a reason. Dude has played THREE whole games. One against the fearsome Cardinals, one against the powerhouse 49ers, and the other against a Cowboys defense that was tipping their plays. If you haven't read that story, I'd suggest it. It's a great read. We haven't allowed a 100 yard rusher in 25 games. That ain't gonna start Sunday in the Dome.

vs the 9rs, Cards, and Dallas... again. Murders row there.
What exactly here our rushing stats vs same Dallas defense. You act like it the Dallas defense we put up 40 first downs against instead of the one this season we couldn't score a TD against.

Read the article on the Ringer.com about that game. One of their offensive linemen said that the Cowboys defensive line were tipping their plays on every single snap. It's why they switched their offense and ran the ball 48 times, waaaaaaay more than they ever have under McVay. Jason Garrett was just too stupid to make adjustments. We haven't allowed a 100 yard rusher in 25 games. Dennis Allen is a great d coordinator and we won't be tipping our plays.

Correct, I have. I’ve been wrong on some predictions, mis-hit on some picks, you know the normal. But, I don’t compare a journeyman RB that didn’t have a team a few weeks ago to a Hall of Fame beast. I wasn’t attacking you. In the end, we are all Who Dats brother. Just, that was a statement that was a little ridiculous. All good

And all I’m saying is the man’s running style resembles that of Jerome Bettis. Nothing more than that. My comment and opinion was blown out of proportion. I don’t believe it was a ridiculous statement at all—afterall, I’m not comparing their careers. While watching the Saints game this Sunday, a fellow Who Dat mentioned the same thing about Anderson without me even prompting him. That’s odd that both of us arrived at the same “asinine” observation. :) But like you suggest, at the end of the day we are all Who Dats, lets go get these Rams on Sunday! WHO DAT!?!

I’ll be happy to read the story. Perhaps the Rams’ dynamic duo is more short term than long term (as our duo appears to be). I didn’t suggest we won’t contain their running game on Sunday. I do have a lot of faith in our rush defense—even with Sheldon Rankins missing. I was unaware the Cowboys were tipping their plays but if that was indeed the case, that explains the dominating performance the Rams rushing attack had against the Cowboys—which had the 5th best rush D in the league going into the game.

Well then you did say that and you are suggesting the last 2 years of Ingram and Kamara are not as good as ONE game of Anderson and Gurley.
No I am not. Strictly looking at right now. You can feel free to misconstrue my comment but I am clarifying for you right now that I am not comparing the last two years of Kamara’s and Ingram’s achievements with that of Gurly and Anderson. However, I was informed that the Cowboys defense may have been tipping their hand so this may explain in part the massive success the two backs had against Dallas.

Gurley has been playing hurt, but even still he's been better than Ingram/Kamara together.

If you look at DVOA, the Rams have a better pass defense than the Saints by a decent margin, and the Saints have a better run defense by a large margin. So overall the Saints defense looks better, but the Rams played the run really well last week - if the Rams continue to play the pass well and play better run defense, it's not a stretch. We have the best defensive player in the NFL and talent wise we are up there with the best defenses - just haven't put it together yet.

Because one game from CJ Anderson/Gurley trumps two years of Kamara/Ingram. Jerome Bettis?

Kellerman earlier this year said he thought the Rams were one of those once in a decade jauggernaut teams when they were 4-0. Another one said they had the best wide receiver corps EVER play the game.

What is it about the Rams that make people go to the moon with this stuff?

I would love nothing more than for the Saints to beat these people twice.

The fact that the Rams play in the biggest TV market in the US and damn near the entire world. It's all about ratings. I used to get all worked up. Now I'm just like, "Whatever."

Dude, if your offensive line can figure out the defense's calls, then it won't matter who the RB is. Saints D are not the Cowboys D, who can't self-scout. If Seattle gave an hint, and Cowboys still didn't adjust, that shows a lack of coaching smarts on Cowboys D. Rams rushing won't be as great against the Saints.

Dallas played bump helmet kid version of checkers on defense and offense though

Oh, you’ve only been a member since 2014. You’ve probably made truly asinine statements on this board in that short period of time.
The old "you've only been a member for such and such and therefore blah blah blah..." argument. It's always a winner!
