To me the TV announcers are part of the game.
It’s the talking from those in the room with me that drives me nuts. Because they usually want to talk about things other than the game itself. And if they do say something about the game, it’s usually something that happened in the previous quarter.

Well, I won't watch a game in person with another woman. Most, not all, but most are only humoring their partner and they always assume that I am doing the same. Even if it's teams I don't really care about (like most super bowls), I most likely am not interested in whatever they have to say and would rather just pay attention to the game.

The Mannings, since they are funny and have that NOLA personality, only add to the broadcast IMO.. unless the Saints are playing, in which case i want to pay more attention to the game itself.. otherwise, unless you have big $$ riding on the outcome of the game- why is anyone opposed to listening to entertaining banter during the course of the game ?
