N/S MNF: Browns @ Broncos (3 Viewers)

No doubt. He's proving the game has not passed him up. What Payton has done with A) identifying Nix and then B) coaching him way up is incredible. They are eating a ton of dead money this year and developing a possibly great QB (and crazy cheap) for the next 4 seasons.
No disrespect to Denver, but you’re already at such a disadvantage when you’re the Wild Card.
And I gotta go with the Chiefs till they prove me wrong.

No disrespect to Mora, but that Ditka run was WAY worse.
As long as things don’t get any worse than they are now. I’m hoping that we’ll see things moving in the right direction soon. Some HUGE decisions are on the horizon that will affect the Saints for the next half decade.

I see your point, and I am no KC hater. I am a big fan of Mahomes and Reid. But there are cracks developing. Shoot, if DEN didn't have a STs gaffe on a FG then Nix would have already had a W against KC. They can't protect Mahomes well enough and he doesn't have the weapons to put the team on his back for 40+ points. The KC Defense is plenty good, at least. Their formula has changed a lot--which is a credit to them...but I do not see them as unbeatable, by any stretch.

And you gotta remember. The division is so much weaker now. It’s easier to rebound.
Those Dikta Saints were at the beginning of The Greatest Show on Turf.

Sean can’t be happy with that start. They sure don’t want to fall to the Browns.

I think KC and Buffalo are too strong.
And if Cincinnati can find a better coach….

The Bronco's have $85m in dead money this year and the Chiefs and Steelers barely escaped with wins.

The only established elite player on their defense is Surtain. He is literally the only player on their defense to make the Pro Bowl or All Pro teams.

Their offense is a rookie QB and a bunch of nobodies. Literally.

Somehow that team is 7-5.

Payton has this Saints team leading the NFC South right now, no question. At the end of the day, Payton's demise was greatly exaggerated and if that Bronco's team starts to accumulate talent the way the Saints did, they're going to be a perennial Super Bowl threat.

Nobody wants to lose to Cleveland.
A loss to Cleveland has been every franchise’s “it’s time for rehab” moment for a quarter century.

and after a fast start the Browns came away with no points

That makes the future results all the more critical. If the Saints can’t move to top of the NFC South heap soon, it will make our franchise look all the more derelict in their attempt to look like a contender.
