Speculation [Mod Edit] New York Post’s Justin Tasch reports that Jets reporter Brian Costello says Aaron Glenn told people that the Jets are his first choice (31 Viewers)

Skipped over six pages:

Aaron Glenn probably loves the Jets' defensive roster -- they have four 2023 Pro Bowlers on D, including first-team All Pros CB Sauce Gardner and LB/DE Quinnen Williams. They have another guy, LB CJ Mosely, who's been five times 2nd Team All Pro, most recently in 2022 (though he'll be 33 entering the 2025 season).

If it’s not Glenn or McCarthy, I think it’s Brady.
Sell the fanbase on his past success in the state with LSU.
The Saints are not above making a "marketing move" in this hire. They did it with DA and sold the "continuity" angle. Of course a team without Sean and Drew can not be like a team with Sean and Drew, but I digress. No matter what Mickey says, I think everyone knew we had tough times ahead of us and they were focused on selling the fan base on something that would keep them interested (and buying tickets). Obviously, that didn't last long.

Nobody knows except Woody Johnson and he may be as crazy as Rodgers.
I don't think Aaron is crazy, I do think he's arrogant to an extent, and thats to be expected from guys with his resume. As for Woody, you make a great point. Lets just say that no one with brains would bring Aaron back (carrying that price tag and cap hit). You would also want the new HC to be the team leader, that would be tough to do with Aaron in place.

DA had his Raiders tenure handing around him from Day One.
At least with Brady, you have positive memories for part of your fanbase with his LSU connections.
And being his first HC job, hope for the future.

The Saints packaged DA to the fans as they did, but in the end I think Mickey needed a patsy to buy him some time. We can't overlook that DA did a very good job as DC and had a lot of team support. Contrary to what a lot of fans believe, this organization wasn't in a position to win anyway. Had Mickey not hired DA then he would have hired whatever young up and coming coach at the time and they'd have approximately the same results over that period of time. As much as it makes me feel crazy to say it, I do think the Saints job is more desireable now then it was then. It's hard to be the guy who replaces a future HOF guy. You'd much rather be the guy who replaces the guy who replaced a future HOF guy.

Wasnt the jets owner daughter fooling around with favre when he was there?

I think jets are more intriguing player wise but our ownership would be better environment for new coach

Wow, really the Jets. Make it make sense. I know the have players on defense and the division is not what it once was.
They have young talent, will probably move off of the Aaron Rodgers circus, its a big market, he spent most of his career there...

Want me to keep going?

Please don't I'm slowly accepting we will be the last person asked to dance.

Maybe he prefers the Jets to be his first choice; oh well.

But most of the info being floated out there that favors AG going to the Jets is from Jets writers.

The Post is like a notch up from the Enquirer but still, I hope he's right. Glenn's not #1 on my list.
