Most Disappointing Sequel? (3 Viewers)

i only read the original question so far, but i want to say mine was the jason bourne series. one was great, when i heard they made a 2 i couldn' t wait to see it; but i was highly disappointed. haven't seen 3 yet.

It would be easy to say Alien 3, but I actually think tis a good flick-fincher returned to teh darker, cluastrophobic atmosphere of teh first one-plus if you wathc the extended cut it flows much better and makes more sense.

Alien 4 was the weaker film, esp teh last 20 minutes

The Lost World

Jurassic Park was a fun movie. The Lost World was trash. It followed the book for the first half and then spun way out of control by going to California with the T-Rex. Never in the book did the plot ever leave the island.

Some of the ones listed were no better than I expected, so no real disappointment there. However, after seeing Man from Snowy River, I had high hopes for Return to Snowy River, but Brian Dennehy (as much as I like him) is no Kirk Douglas.

IA with the vast majority of these....I just think that if you prop something up so much, U want to compare it to the original and base the quality on that then just enjoying it for what it is.

Star Wars Ep I, while I am a classic SW fan by heart, but the new ones I knew the dynamic and the effects and storyline was going to be different from the originals...

Be Cool....while it was a sequel of sorts to Get shorty...I would not put that movie on the worst sequels list...

while Caddyshack II was no where near the original, there are by far worse movies...many of which are on this list...LOL....

Wasn't Battlefield Earth a sequel to something? That was one of the WORST movies ever...

it wasn't a sequel. it's based on a book bu l ron hubbard founder of scientology.

i really do enjoy the book but the movie was garbage. it was like they read the decription of the book from the dustjacket and made a movie based on that

Aww man. You're missing out then. I think the third movie was better than the first two put together. Actually, IMO, Bourne Ultimatum has been the best movie I've seen all year; with Transformers a close second.

it's still playing down the street today; if it's playing this weekend i might take a look. I enjoyed transformers alot, megan fox wasn't bad either. If i see it; i'll give the thumbs up or down.

There are plenty of bad sequels out there. This is relatively common knowledge, so I don't go into sequels with high expectations. But when...

Austin Powers II, Spy Who Shagged me came out, I was very disappointed. I thought they strayed too far from the original brand of humor that made the first one great. I know many will disagree and loved the movie so I won't say it was horrible, but I was disappointed.

most of the rocky sequals sucked .....

Oh, sir...that is blasphemy. If you don't love Rocky IV then you're taking America's Cold War victory for granted. You probably think Ronald Reagan was responsible. Ha! Rocky Balboa's victory over Ivan Drago and unforgettable post-match speech were the catalysts that brought the USSR down.

Love Rocky. Know history.
