Okay, it's that time of year and the movie that is making me wish that is "Halloween". I love scary movies but once you've seen them and know what's happening, it's just not the fun kind of scared anymore.

"Jaws" is probably my next one for the same reason.

So many, Dolores Claiborne is one I love. I agree with Halloween and Jaws.
Have to throw in The Exorcist and the first Omen.
And sticking with horror, going way back, Psycho. I remember seeing that at band camp for the first time when I was about 15 and having to walk back to our cabins in the dark. OMG, that was scary.

More of a tearjerker movie. Probably Casablanca.

We had to watch Psycho in a film study class in High School. Basically the only horror movie I had ever liked. Poltergeist was the only other one.

For me it would have to be Sixth Sense.. the collective gasp of the crowd when the twist was revealed is something I hadn’t experienced before, or since .
Oh, that's a good one.

Memento, you have to watch it at least twice.
Honorable mention to Sixth Sense.
Well, good point. There are definitely movies that you need to see more than once or you just pick up on things you missed the first time. But discovering the plot twist you didn't see coming. Or seeing some new movie "magic" (like maybe the Matrix movies). Or feeling a new emotion for the first time. Or something else I've never thought of. That's why I thought I might get some interesting answers.

Pyscho for sure. Your camp experience was perfect for shower stabbing.

My tearjerker. An affair to remember, 1957 Deborah Kerr and Cary Grant

I had The Sixth Sense Spoiled for me about a week after it premiered and before I saw it. I eventually saw it, but when you know the twist ending, it really takes away from the movie.

I've had the real issue with spoilers ever since then which is tough these days when every show is spoiled on social media within hours of it beginning to stream.

In the silly department:

Something About Mary and Hangover

I laughed so hard at both of those such that I missed a lot in the first watching.
