Yes you did. You said the safety is the gambler which means you are implying that he should be the one to jump the route. The safety should never jump the route. That's what josh bullocks did and look at him now.

I did use the word 'gamble'.
But we view the term 'jump the route' differently. Again, a term I never used, you people did.
When the CB, generally with his back to the QB does it, he's making a guess based on the receiver's eyes or some other similar clue.
Good WRs can trick them in a second, even the experienced ones. I'll stand by my earlier statement that when MM made the guess, the 'jump', he was much more likely to get burned as to make an intercept.
Look at a good CB like Bailey. He never, ever, takes his eyes off the receiver. Period. That's what these guys are supposed to do.
Now, Safety.
These guys (generally) play deeper, with their backs to the goal and the field in front of them.
They see it all and can gamble. If the big play is there, go for it.
If you're a CB, keep your eyes on your man.
