My bold prediciton - The Astros will win it all this year (1 Viewer)

Hou-Dat day at Minute Maid, perhaps? We'll have to get tickets to one of those games...I love cheering against the Braves...:hihi:

Got my Yankees/Astros tickets...oh, yea....:youpi-12: :youpi-12: :youpi-12:

Love cheerin against dem Yankees. :hihi:

Ha, that should be a fun game for me because I'm a fan of both teams. I'll be wearing my Pettitte NYY shirt and Astros cap. I'm sure I'll have things thrown at me...:hihi:

I'd say I've been to a good 10 Braves/Mets games at Shea, but I have been torn lately. At first, I was Braves all the way, but I am swaying to the Mets these days. I never know if I should cheer or boo and have been caught on both sides.:covri:

Eh! It's only baseball. It's not like it's the Saints or anything.:mwink:

How can you be a Braves fan and then switch to the Mets? If you moved to Charlotte would you start rooting for the Panthers?

I saw that series and was pretty excited but then I realized it's during my Disney trip in June. I grew up loving the Yankess (Ron Guidry fan) so it would be an awesome series to watch.

I'll be fine with the Braves series though.

Hardly. I have loved the Braves since the mid 70's, but they aren't my "hometown" team, so my loyalty (I have recently learned) can be swayed. Still like the Braves quite a lot, but to FINALLY have a "hometeam" baseball team is something I've never had.

Remember, this is baseball in which NOLA has no pro team. You mention the Panthers, but that'll never happen cause NOLA has a pro team.

I'm pulling for the Astros, and really like the pop they've added on the offensive side of the ball. But I just don't think they can win it all with this pitching staff.

Roy O is the game's most dominant pitcher. Period. But beyond that, it's hard for me to see this staff -- as is -- taking this team past the first round of the playoffs. I like Backe, but as has already been pointed out, he's just not been the same as he was pre-injury. Wandy's too erratic, and Woody's like 60.

We're simply going to have to put up a boatload of runs game-in, game-out, in order to make the playoffs.

Yeah, the pitchers are looking great so far in spring training. Highest era in the league. No fears though, the Big Puma will be on the loose this year.
