We are in the last days. The final generation. The Bible is very clear on this. I have tried to reach out to you as brothers. In 1948 God restored Israel. The Bible says that the generation of this event will see the Lord's return. I know many of you don't like my posts. Y'all think I am a fool for believing. The Bible says that I will be hated and persecuted for what I believe. I am a very smart person. I have 2 college degrees. I'm not an idiot. I'm reaching out to you because I want to see everyone saved. This is my last attempt. I want to see everyone in heaven. I don't know how to explain the words of God any more than I have.b time is short. The great tribulation is coming soon. You will be forced either to take his Mark or have your head cut off. That's harsh but true. I won't hopefully say anymore after this post. I have studied end time prophecy for 28 years. Israel is the key. I'm sorry that my words are not good enough. Y'all convinced me to study science and learn. I did. But it still doesn't overcome the Bible.

Let's start with recognizing that truth is truth in whatever form it comes. I believe that God created all there is, visible and invisible. The study of the visible stuff will not and cannot contradict the invisible part. So if you think this is a science versus religion proposition, you're wrong. Religion does not dictate science. And science cannot, strictly speaking, dictate to philosophy and religion. I think fundamentalist Christians and proponents of materialist scientism are more similar than we think. The bible is not often making physical materialist claims and science doesn't really make philosophical claims.

If I may offer a book recommendation to you, I think Modern Physics and Ancient Faith by Stephen Barr would be useful. It can be a bit technical with the scientific part, so if you're not into that, perhaps his book The Believing Scientist: Essays on Science and Religion would be a bit more your style. If you're game for reading either, I'd be happy to send it to you on my dime.

As for end times beliefs, there's a lot to be concerned about, particularly the attack on the sacred and foundational nature of the family. And though I'm not completely invested, you might check into the claims of the miracle at Fatima. It's quite compelling. Still, every generation from the first Christian on believed theirs was the end of times. And I think we're all right. We are all going to suffer earthly death and you'd better be ready.

I think your intentions are genuine - you do believe that your concern is legitimate and that makes your care for us authentic. So for that, thank you.

I don't think you are a fool. If it helps you get thru the day I am fine with it.

But I do have a problem with the whole God restored Israel crap.

So you think God times the restoring of Israel to right after ww2 and does nothing to help the Jewish people in the camps a couple years before? So you think this is how it had to work? You think that is what a loving God would do? Let that happen!

No the powerful Jewish people left knew it was their chance to take it without any objections because the last thing anyone wanted was another war. They stole it because they would have no protest.

I have studied it for almost 30 years. I'm a published Christian author. I love the Lord with all my heart. I just want everyone to be saved. Put down on me all you want. I'm big enough to take it.

There is some validity to your post, but the above part I find disturbing.
I'm pretty much an agnostic, so I need to run away from this thread quickly. Sometimes I get drawn in to this stuff and I should know better.

David, you’re correct in saying Christians believe we are living in the end times. But who can say when they will end? Paul also believed he was close to the end, and that was nearly 2000 years ago.
Christ has revealed himself and we await his return. No living mortal has the authority or knowledge to name God’s chosen time.
