Just to save some time, you say the great tribulation is coming soon. That Jared Cook situation has really ruined me on waiting for "soon" things.
Can I get a ballpark on exactly when all this is going down at least? How much time we lookin at?

my Pastor hasn't mentioned this, does that mean he is not really a man of god like be claims? I would hope if he's doing the Lords work, the Lord would let him in on this and he would be passing this on to us on Sundays..
but, he has mentioned many times about the over use of the fire and brimstone preachings..

I've never been shy about admitting I'm a man of faith and a former minister here, but, I've never been one to really get into religious teaching, not because I'm ashamed, because of course, I'm not.
I do think there's a time and place for many things, and that includes sharing the Word, preaching and teaching. Trying to teach end-times theology and prophecy on SaintsReport.com is an exercise in folly for 2 reasons, one, Christianity is rooted in personal relationships. I'm only going to teach and preach when given permission by people I know reasonably well. I find I don't get results trying to convince people I don't have a relationship with. Secondly, sr.com isn't a religious discussion board. There are plenty of those out there, whatever your religion or faith. Certainly, there may be occasions when we broach religious topics, but usually as a matter of a relevant breaking event.
I do find it interesting that the atheists and agnostics wish to weigh in too. It's a free country.

It never ceases to amaze me, all of the things attributed to gods...
Every so often, you see these news snippets of a church or a house that burned down to the ground, or a tornado/hurricane leveling a town, but the Bibles were not damaged. People attribute this to it being a miracle. Ok, Yet, houses burned down, towns were razed to the ground, people died, lost their homes... but oh! it's a miracle! that the Bibles came out unscathed.
To say Israel was "restored" (was there ever one?) by God... Israel was founded after WWII by zionists who wanted to make the prophesy of the Bible true. Of course, God, thought nothing of the atrocities his chosen people went through a few years earlier; men, women, children, humiliated, raped, gassed, slaughtered in the millions like vermin... worse than vermin.
This world will end. It'd end when the Sun vaporizes the Earth at the end of the Sun's life, a few billion years from now. At that time, I seriously doubt there will be any humans alive (or anything living for that matter) to attribute that event to a god.
