He was still 6-22 and has shot awfully this entire playoffs. Not just this series. Thats just bad by any standard. His overall scoring numbers have come strictly from volume and minutes played. He deserves credit for being an iron man playing lots of games and minutes. Because Boston has always used a hybrid center, he plays the "4" spot and has been one of their main rebounders for years. The playmaking part is where he's made some gains.I think this is just a product of the standard they set, and that we expect... he had a near triple double last night 18-12-9... That's "awful" for the best player on BOS team... It doesn't matter much though.... because the other 4 (or 5 depending on how you count KP) are getting them 15-25 points each. That's why they are - and have been the best all year... even if JT isn't getting 30+... they have 3-5 other guys that could very well be the 2nd or 3rd best scorers on most other teams. If Luka and Ky don't each go off every game... they are getting killed.
But the rest is very accurate. Boston has had their #2, #3, #4, or some bench player step up all year long. They are not dependent on Tatum scoring or even playing well or not.
