N/S Ed Reed Released [Merged] (2 Viewers)

I'd take him in a heartbeat. With all the coverage we're playing, he'd be a monster ballhawk on passing downs.

Houston's season is over.. idk how bad he was playing but there's no reason for them to keep a high priced vet when the season is already down the drain..

Did anybody consider the fact that if he was criticizing the coaches then maybe he probably wasn't playing his hardest?

He left the Ravens to go to a contender for another superbowl. Of course he is criticizing the Texans. He will probably only want to play for a team who is a contender and it makes the most since for him to come back to his hometown and win a Superbowl before he retires. Remember this same thing happened to Darren Sharper. Everyone said he had lost a step and so on. The Saints took a chance on him and boom he has one of the best years of his career and helps us to a Superbowl. Can you say Deja Vu?

Ed Reed's least is still better than a lot of safeties' best. He would provide much needed depth at this point with all of our starting safeties banged up. What if quddus or bush get injured next game? Then what? We have no one behind those guys. He may come here and be re-energized by the thought of winning another ring.

Now that he's not playing anymore...........

Maybe he can coach the Texans and see if he can do better.

Loser. Can't do your own job and now you're going to rag on someone else because you lost?

Yeah, he doesn't deserve another shot in the NFL. Give that spot to someone who wants to earn it.

Are you serious? You are talking about the best safety to ever play the game. Uhhh, I think he's earned it and probably knows what he is talking about. He went to the Texans to have a chance at another ring. I wouldn't play hard either with hat trick they pulled on him.

His presence alone demands attention from the offense lol. He could be a viable decoy. The league would hate us if ed reed came back home and put black and gold on lol! I think he should retire though.

I bet he does one of the following:

1. Retires
2. Signs with the 49ers (didn't Eric Reed just get hurt?)
3. Signs with the Saints (Jenkins, Harper, and KV have all had injury issues)

my 2 cents.

Exactly. I guarantee you if he came here you would see a different Ed Reed than the Texans have seen. He didn't leave Baltimore to play for a loser so of course he wasn't giving it his all on the field. He probably asked to be released to be able to go play for a contender. He has nothing left to prove at this point in his career. The only thing he would still play for is a chance at another ring. If no contenders show any interests, he will retire.

Yes.. Come on guys, everyone together now.

MAKE IT HAPPEN LOOMIS!!!

Are you guys serious if he can play, WHY NOT?

I have no issue with your post at all.

It's an opinion just like mine.

I would like to add a few more negative points cuz that's just how I'm rollin' today.

1. He's got a big mouth. (Sean would never put up with that)

2. He's always hurt, even when he used to be awesome. Now he's just always hurt. Without the awesome, it's just annoying to call people out.

3. There's no young DB I would cut on our team for him.

Good Lawd, I got some stinkin thinkin going on today.

Hmm.. kinda reminds me of when we got short-handed in the defensive backfield in 2009.. we signed 2 washed up DB's, Mckenzie and McAlister, who helped us win a big game against the Pats.

Funny how that year keeps popping up

Bring him in. We have had injuries to all three of our starting safeties. Two are injured as we speak. Come on home Ed! If anything he can help teach our younger safeties a think or two. And at the right price we would be stupid not to pick him up, even if for a stop gap position!
