N/S JJ Watt released (1 Viewer)

Or he demanded his release and Texans didn't value him as much anymore. This doesn't undermine any of the things he spoke his mind about...it just means the Texans viewed him as expendable and he sees the organization as a sinking ship. This is further supported by their star QB wanting to leave...
And the ex-coach burning everything to the ground the last year before he hit the road.

Hendrickson is a free agent. Davenport hasn't proven anything. Stop overvaluing Saints players.
Haha. ok. I forgot about Trey being a FA. I beg to differ about Dav especially since DE is a prized position group and he has been better than most when healthy, but yea, just a question meant to spark discussion...

Lots of DE talent this year in the draft.

Wise time to make a move on Watt.

Defensive lineman can play into their mid 30s and ones with his insane amount of talent should be able to do just that if he can stay healthy, which has been an issue lately. In fact, an argument can be made that the D-lineman in the early 30s can be fairly dominate or dominate when they need to be. JPP is a year older than Watt and Suh is 3 years older than Watt, but have had down/injury seasons previously and both played well down the stretch for TB and especially in the playoffs/SB. Adding a talent like Watt on an affordable deal would be a huge boost to this defensive line. He can play inside or outside, so Dav, Cam and Watt could be all the field a lot together or Watt could rotate with either on the edge. There are a lot of possibilities.

He'll probably just join his brothers with the Steelers.
